I have repeatedly reported vehicles parked illegally on walkways to @PoliceMv, yet no action has been taken. Even worse, I have recently seen @PoliceMv vehicles parked on walkways.
Traffic regulations cannot be effectively enforced if those responsible for enforcing them do not follow them themselves. Please lead by example.
Thank you @ctrlshiftdream, appreciate you highlighting this. 🙏
As Male’ City continues to grow, I believe our policies and regulations also need to evolve accordingly.
Much needed motion submitted by @labaanshareef to make regulations for publicly visible LED screens
Malé will keep getting denser, we need to take light nd sound pollution seriously. streets should be vibrant, but shouldn’t come at the cost of people’s peace, sleep & quality of life
This is an important conversation we needed to have, also to highlight; MCC have given various locations around malé to @STELCOMALDIVES for installation of transformers, they have converted the space with Screens and are running a business using it..

Happy International Youth Day 2026! 🇲🇻
This year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” reminds us that while young people may come from different backgrounds and face different challenges, we share common hopes for a better future.
Our youth are the energy, creativity and strength of our nation. As we build a better Malé City, we must create more opportunities for young people to learn, innovate, lead, and turn their ideas into meaningful change.
As Mayor, I remain committed to creating a city where every young person has the opportunity to thrive, contribute and shape the future they want to see.
Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. Your future matters.
Happy Youth Day to all the young people of Malé City and the Maldives! 🇲🇻
