Another Election Day, another result the pollsters and the conventional wisdom misread. The DSA and the far left get the press while the pragmatists notch key wins: WI, MO, HI, VA.
The turnout surge across the South has been driven by the party's most reliable voters, not its loudest online voices. Each wing of the party knows the game's rigged for insiders at the expense of those trying to stretch every paycheck; we just disagree on the fix.
Give progressives credit for bringing ideas to the table. Pragmatists haven't been as good as we need to be about offering our own ideas and agenda. You can't beat something with nothing, and too often we're prisoners of the moment. But what these elections are showing is that the pragmatic wing isn't a faction of this party. It's the majority, it's awake now, and it's exerting itself.

In Buddhism we understand that every action comes with a consequence. Due to my decision to stand up for my Jewish friends I am losing a few people from my life. Today I parted company with Tony Pontius who has run my record label BGP for a number of years. I wanted to release 'We Will Dance Again' but he was unequivocal and said 'I want nothing to do with this song' and I responded 'ok, we are done'.
When someone is gutless it really does not hurt to say goodbye. My faith in humanity will not diminish and the truth will always win.
I will release it!

There are three doors a child walks through that will determine their future: the front door of the home, the front door of the school, and the front door of the place of worship. If those three doors are not aligned, it impacts a child’s education and future.
Today, 50% of our kids cannot read at grade level. Republicans have abandoned public education, Democrats have abandoned standards and accountability, and our kids are the ones paying the ultimate price.

Bulgaria’s winning Eurovision singer Dara “liked” a video of Israel’s Noam Bettan earlier this month.
That shouldn’t be newsworthy. But in a world where wiping my country off the map is somehow a legitimate conversation, it is.
Love to Bulgaria 🇧🇬

Bill Maher just delivered the most clear-eyed, no-bullshit monologue on Israel & antisemitism you’ll hear from any mainstream voice in 2026.
“Israel was founded on the idea that antisemitism made a Jewish state necessary ... Can you honestly listen to this rhetoric and not see why that turned out to be true?”
One of many brutal examples: he called out Columbia professor Hamid Dabashi, who wrote that Jews have “a vulgarity of character that is bone-deep and structural to the skeletal vertebrae of its culture.”
Maher’s reply: “These are the kinds of statements Goebbels would have read and said, ‘No notes.’”
Then he turned to his own party and delivered the kill shot:
“Democrats, where are you? … Until you fix this issue, stop asking me why I’m harder on you.”
Bill Maher is perhaps the one person left in late-night television who still chooses truth over applause.
The rest are just cowards with good lighting.
Thank you Bill🙏

Perhaps Bill Maher’s best monologue yet. It clearly made his LA audience uncomfortable.

The Holocaust at Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas of antisemitism, words, stereotypes & prejudice, through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder of Jewish people.
The Holocaust took time.
#YomHaShoah

ALT A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

This is the official poster marking #YomHashoah 2026
The image in Yoav Kahana's poster depicts the "absence" within the "presence"; the personal and collective rupture to the Jewish people engendered by the Holocaust. This rupture accompanied the survivors as they searched for living relatives and were met with an aching void.

Wow. 16 for 16 on market moves. Truly incredible — either great instincts, sheer luck, or… door number three - insider trading. We all know the answer.
And the CFTC? Doing their best three monkeys impression: see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
Corruption, now fully normalized under the Trump administration.
A Trump insider opened a $51,000,000 oil short position — hours before Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran. This guy is now 16 for 16. $170 million in profit. A perfect streak.
This is not a talented trader.
"We placed the bet." "The ceasefire dropped." "We cashed out." Sixteen times in a row.
That is not skill. That is not instinct. That is not research.
That is someone who knows what is coming before it comes.
Think about what that actually means. A private individual is placing a $51 million bet that oil prices are about to collapse — hours before a sitting president announces a ceasefire that collapses oil prices. Not once. Sixteen times. Zero losses.
There are only two explanations and both should terrify you.
Either someone inside the White House — or with direct access to it — is leaking ceasefire negotiations to traders before diplomats, before the press, before the American people hear a single word. That is insider trading. That is corruption. That is a federal crime.
Or the timing of the announcement itself is being shaped around the trade. Which is worse.
This is not a genius investor who reads the news faster than you do. The news hadn't happened yet. He wasn't reading the news. He was getting a phone call.
While Americans were watching the ceasefire announcement and feeling relieved — somebody already knew. Somebody had already bet $51 million on it. And somebody was already counting their winnings.
You are not watching a free market. You are watching a White House with a side hustle. Via~ Really American

President Trump, his cabinet, members of Congress, and all federal officials cannot bet on prediction markets tied to U.S. policy or military action. This can be done by an executive order, but we know that won’t happen, as Donald Trump has normalized corruption in the White House - something we should have a zero tolerance policy for.
We can’t have young kids from Peoria, Illinois, and Platteville, Wisconsin, risking their lives while a bunch of nepo babies from Palm Springs and Palm Beach are risking their daddy's little inheritance. Washington needs a good power washing. It’s time we stop betting against America.

No, your Jewish friends are not suddenly psychopathic, pro-war maniacs who want the world to burn.
We have been fighting this battle every single day since October 7, 2023. That's 879 days.
We always knew it would end with Iran.
Hamas was just IRGC’s proxy.
The Palestinian people IRGC’s pawns.
And both Americans and Israelis have been fighting this war since 1979. That's 47 years.
So before assuming the worst about your Jewish friends, maybe pause and listen to what they are saying.
Instead of dismissing them.
Instead of gaslighting them.
