True. Danielle Smith waited until after the referendum vote to say there’s no room in her party for separatists. Prior to that she did everything she could to encourage and support them. Even changing the laws to make it possible. She could’ve shut it down right away but didn’t.

“Those people that were concerned about children being transgendered behind their parents’ backs. Those are the people voting for me.”
Yup. She said that.

No you insulted every veteran and police officer that served. You made us sound like welfare recipients and yes men! You painted us as though we are the system, we worked in the system under rules of employment, we are real people with real lives and real families just like you.

I was questioning your credibility as a critic of the government.... that's it.
But now I'm also questioning your IQ.

"The Linear Algebra Behind Google" is a short paper that explains the mathematics behind Google's original PageRank algorithm.
The paper covers eigenvalues and eigenvectors, stochastic matrices, Markov chains, and iterative methods, using numerical examples and graphs to illustrate how PageRank works.
Beyond the algorithm itself and the original paper by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, this is an interesting read for anyone curious about how linear algebra applies to one of the most influential algorithms in the history of the web.

Alberta Prosperity Project disavows their separatist leaders after they lost the referendum. Up until then, they were fine.

No honor among thieves.

FYI the APP has always been like this. I've been documenting APP infighting since my hometown anti-vaxxer Bob Blayone started it after losing the first iteration, the Alberta Unity Project, to a volunteer. Then he and Chris Scott had a falling out later too. #ableg

I'm still shocked that the UCP burned through $125 million of our hard-earned tax dollars on that total shit-show.
Millions of Albertans have every right to be pissed.

A reminder that the law initially said two questions asking essentially the same thing could not be asked within five years. Then the Premier changed the legislation to get her preferred question about separating.
She does that for separatists.

When @LukaszukAB filed paperwork for his Forever Canada petition, he chose the 'vote in the legislature' option (so NO referendum) AND the law at the time said that no other referendum on the same subject could be filed for 5 years. Smith changed that law AND lowered the bar.

“Woke.” “Cancel culture.”
She’s spent way too much time in the U.S.
Is she really this fucking stupid?
Did she ACTUALLY finish High School?
If my kid spoke like this I’d take him by the ear and drag him to get a GED.

I will die on this hill: The government is not the boss of reporters.
The "question limit" is a COVID hangover. If politicians don't want reporters repeating questions after the "limit" they imposed to avoid pushback, they should answer them the first time.

Has she spoken to her own staff? Spare me the grade-school pantomime, @ABDanielleSmith. You don't get to declare a federalist mandate while your own party has been enabling separatists and then pretend this is all just a matter of enforcing party discipline. #UCP #ableg #abpoli

Rebel Media’s Alberta bureau chief, Sheila Gunn Reid, literally registered with Elections Alberta as a separatist-side third-party advertiser for the referendum. Let’s stop pretending that they’re anything other than right-wing propagandists dressed up as a legit news outlet.

In her speech and on her podium sign Smith has dropped her oxymoronic catch phrase “A sovereign Alberta within a united Canada” and replaced it with a “Stronger Alberta within a united Canada.” The dogwhistle to her separatist base is gone … but not the stench of it.

You don’t get to claim you were given a “historic mandate” to take action on generational changes on a 51-49% question.
You can’t even do that with a 57-43%.
By nearly all realistic metrics - this was a MASSIVE disaster for Smith and we blew $125,000,000 for nothing
