🇺🇦❤️ He could have spent billions on yachts, mansions, and a life of luxury. Instead, he chose to help Ukraine.
His name is Howard Buffett. He is 71 years old and the son of legendary American billionaire Warren Buffett.
Since Russia's full-scale invasion, his foundation has committed approximately $1.33 BILLION to helping Ukraine!
And these aren't just numbers. Here's what that generosity means:
🍞 642 million meals funded for Ukrainians affected by the war.
🚜 823,000 hectares of farmland cultivated with support from his foundation, helping farmers whose equipment was destroyed by Russia.
🦾 $77 million for Superhumans, helping wounded Ukrainian soldiers and civilians receive prosthetics and rehabilitation.
💣 $167 million for demining, clearing Ukrainian land of deadly Russian explosives.
🏠 344,000 windows replaced in war-damaged buildings.
📚 $8.9 million to restore Kharkiv's Factor-Druk printing house after a Russian missile strike.
And here's something even more remarkable:
🇺🇦 Howard Buffett has personally visited Ukraine 27 times!
He visits devastated communities, meets farmers, and witnesses the consequences of Russia's war firsthand.
In December 2023, his name was added to Kyiv's Walk of the Brave.
But his greatest legacy isn't a monument. It's the lives saved, homes rebuilt, fields cultivated, and Ukrainians given hope again.
❤️ The world has plenty of wealthy people. Far fewer are willing to devote their wealth, time, and hearts to helping strangers thousands of miles away.
Thank you, Howard Buffett. Ukraine will never forget your kindness. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

I got a call from a scammer yesterday.
Me: “Hello.”
Scammer: (thick, heavy accent) “Hello. This is Tom Smith from Microsoft Support. We are seeing a lot of virus activity coming from your device.”
Me: “Oh no. My device? Are you sure?”
Scammer: “Oh yes, Madam. We have many reports.”
Me: “Oh, jeez. How can I fix it?”
Scammer: “It’s okay, Madam. We can help you right now. Are you in front of your device?”
Me: “Yes. I was just about to use it. I’m glad you called.”
Scammer: “Good, Madam. Please push the Start button.”
Me: “I think it’s already on.”
Scammer: “Okay, Madam. Now click on Control Panel.”
Me: “I don’t see that.”
Scammer: “Do you see a bunch of information above the Start button?”
Me: “Yes.”
Scammer: “That is your Control Panel.”
Me: “Wow. I didn’t realize it had a name.”
Scammer: “Yes, Madam. Now press Internet Options.”
Me: “I don’t see any Internet options. I don’t think I bought that feature. This is just a cheap one.”
Scammer: “All devices have Internet, Madam. Press the Start button again.”
Me: “Okay. Same as before.”
Scammer: “That’s fine, Madam. We will restart your device. Please turn it off.”
Me: “Um… I don’t know how. I’ve never turned it off. It kind of just stays on.”
Scammer: “There must be an off button. How do you stop it when it’s running?”
Me: “I usually press the big button.”
Scammer: “Okay, Madam. Press that button.”
Me: “Okay.”
Scammer: “Is your device off?”
Me: “No. The door popped open.”
Scammer: “Door? Is there a disc inside?”
Me: “No. There’s a burrito.”
Scammer: “Why is there a burrito in your computer?”
Me: “Computer? I thought you said this was microwave support.”

Remember in Schindler's List when the Nazi commander uses a sniper rifle to shoot prisoners in the Concentration Camp.

This woman represents most Americans btw.
“It’s hard for me to even believe that anyone continues to support the lunacy of the president. I can’t even say his name. He is outrageously demented. He is sick and he is on his mission about power and greed and corruption. It is truly disgraceful. And for Americans to not be able to see what is going on is truly shocking. All of his cabinet, they are all corrupt. It is just disgraceful.”
This is how every American should feel btw. This administration will go down as the most corrupt, the most divisive and one of the worst in history.

The aim of the Tories is to trash the NHS, drive it against the wall, and sell it off to their chums. Scum.

Plans to shorten medical training put quality of NHS care at risk
In other countries they are looking to extend training due to the increasing complexity of care & health innovations, but the UK is looking to reduce training theguardian.com/politics/202…

Pay attention to this.
Britain, short of 1.400 Anaesthetists.
We learn,350 anaesthetists trained for 3 years, have been turned down for the next stage of anaesthetics training in UK.
5 to 6 years med school
2 years foundation training
3 years anaesthetic training,12 years in all

Aye, but there’s the rub.
If you have a consultant anaesthetist doing the case, there’s no need for an anaesthetic assistant (at band 7 salary).
And if that consultant has other responsibilities elsewhere too, then they aren’t truly present or delivering consultant led care.

Safety fears as non-medical staff / PAs learn neurosurgery ‘on the job’ uk.news.yahoo.com/safety-fea… from medical secretary via a two year's PA masters to amputating limbs- with no medical training and no surgical training

There’s a reason it takes so long for patients to get surgery on the NHS.
The UK already has fewer doctors per head than many comparable European countries. But on top of that, the system is actively preventing thousands of doctors from progressing to become the surgeons patients need.
To become a Consultant or GP, doctors must complete years of highly competitive specialty training. These training jobs are not determined by how many capable doctors there are, or how many patients need care. They are capped centrally by the Government.
In 2025, 5,399 doctors applied for just 630 NHS surgical training jobs, with other specialities like Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and General Practice also facing similar bottlenecks.
That means thousands of doctors who are fully qualified, experienced and ready to continue training are turned away every year because the number of posts is restricted.
Without these jobs, doctors cannot progress to become the specialists of the future.
The result is a severe bottleneck across the entire training pipeline. It’s not just affecting entry into surgical training, the same pressures are now appearing at higher subspecialty levels as well. Doctors who have spent years progressing through training are finding there simply aren’t enough jobs to continue.
At the same time, the wider NHS workforce situation is becoming increasingly strained. Hiring freezes and restricted funding mean that even some newly qualified Consultants and GPs are now struggling to find permanent jobs.
So we now have a situation where patients are waiting months or years for operations, while doctors who want to train and work are being turned away.
Doctors want to work. Patients want to be treated. Yet the system is preventing both from happening.
So the next time the NHS delays your surgery, it’s not because doctors don’t want to help.
It’s because the system is blocking them from doing so.

🏴☠️ The mountebanks (Physician Assistants) are literally running the show in the NHS.
People outside the UK still think that doctors who have gone through specialist training in the NHS are the most competent, but: ☠️
⭕️ What quality of Respiratory Registrars will we have if all pleural procedures (chest drains, pleural aspiration, clinics) are done by the PAs?
⭕️ Cardiology Regs can't do transvenous pacing, pacemaker insertion, or radial/femoral access during coronary angiography/intervention.
They even delegate aortic valve interventions and sedation to “other members of the MDT.” ☠️
⭕️ Gastro Regs are becoming consultants without being competent in endoscopy because the PA is leading on these procedures.
They don’t follow up patients with inflammatory bowel disease because the IBD CNS is leading on this. Zero clue about TPN because the dietitian is sorting it.
⭕️ Neurosurgical SpRs are stuck on the wards because the PA is first-assisting the consultant and performing craniotomies on kiddies.
Absolutely Wild West.

☢️ Dear medical students,
Take this advice from your Med Reg:
⭕️ Medicine is a dead career in the UK, and you don’t need to go through this pile of books for 5–6 years and then more than 10 years of postgraduate training.
⭕️ Sign up for any course in healthcare:
➖ Podiatry
➖ Paramedic
➖ Dietitian
➖ Occupational Therapist
➖ Physio
➖Physician Assistant
⭕️ Then, as soon as you finish, hunt for a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) course.
⭕️ You’ll get paid at Band 7 as a student ACP, better than a qualified doctor.
why climb Everest when there’s an escalator next door?
