Great to see new polling from @fund_defi reaffirm @DCGco findings from earlier this year. Financial privacy and control over personal data are priorities for Americans.
74% value financial privacy, 80% want more control over their data, and 62% prefer privacy in financial transactions.
The DEF team is excited to unveil new national, longitudinal research by @Ipsos on KnowledgePanel, digging into Americans' perspectives on the current state & future of finance, including their thoughts on frontier technologies.

Stablecoins solved the middle. The ends are still the problem.
A cross-border payment isn’t finished until someone holds local currency in a local bank.
Our CEO of @GTXNGlobal, Dan Kleinbaum will take a stage at Cross Border Payments Conference in Johannesburg to discuss why that’s a liquidity problem, not a chain problem. Johannesburg, 28 October.

Patrick Witt worked tirelessly in his role shaping crypto policy, and the industry benefited from his leadership. Public service rarely gets the appreciation it deserves and he stepped up at every turn. Thank you, @patrickjwitt!
Serving in this administration has been the privilege of a lifetime.
From helping to stand up the most successful presidential transition in history alongside @howardlutnick and @EDSecMcMahon, to rebuilding our defense industrial base as PTDO Deputy Under Secretary for R&E and then Acting Director of OSC at @DeptofWar, to driving forward President Trump’s vision to make the United States the “crypto capital of the world” as Executive Director of the @WhiteHouse Crypto Council, I consider myself to have been the luckiest guy in the world over these past two years.
First and foremost, I want to thank @POTUS for the opportunity to serve the American people again in your second term. Your clear-eyed vision to ensure the United States remains the undisputed global superpower at this time of unprecedented technological change and geopolitical strife is critical to our nation’s future prosperity.
Second, I want to thank @DavidSacks for your visionary leadership and mentorship. I am so grateful to have been able to work with you and learn from you over the past year. Thank you also to @USWREMichael, James Mazol, @HarryYJung, Nick Elliot, Tyler Williams, @lukejpettit, Jonathan Hurowitz, Andrew Rittenhouse, Michael Friedman, @atitus7, @passalacqua_mj, @willscharf, @JamesCBraid, @MayMailman, Steve Levine, Patrick Butler, Zach Carstens, and countless others across the administration for being the best colleagues anyone could ask for. It was an honor to serve alongside you.
Lastly, thank you to @SECPaulSAtkins and @ChairmanSelig, @SecScottBessent, @USComptroller Gould, @SenatorTimScott, @SenLummis, @SenatorHagerty, @berniemoreno, @JohnBoozman, @SenThomTillis, @RepFrenchHill, and @RepBryanSteil for your partnership in advancing crypto policy over the past year with the passage of the GENIUS Act and our work to advance the CLARITY Act. With regulators and elected officials like you, I rest easy knowing the future of digital asset innovation in America is bright.
Regarding next steps, I’ll have to more to share soon. For now, I’ll say this: I am extremely bullish on America as we embark upon a new golden age of technological advancement across multiple frontiers. I’m grateful to have done my part to unleash American innovation while in government, and I look forward to advancing that same mission in the private sector! 🇺🇸

Mike built @FoundryServices into an industry leader, assembled a world-class team, and helped cement US leadership in Bitcoin mining. His impact on the industry is remarkable
Grateful for everything @colyermike contributed over his 7 years and his support through the transition
Today we announced that @colyermike is stepping down as CEO of Foundry after 7 years. Mike built Foundry from 1 employee into the operator of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pool. He will remain with Foundry for six months as a strategic advisor to support the transition.
In 2011 @BarrySilbert told @marykissel at WSJ that he thought the SEC should let investors qualify for private markets by passing a test, not via net worth. Last week the SEC proposed exactly that. 15 years later, still a good idea.

Since the advent of Bitcoin in 2008, the crypto asset market has grown from a niche curiosity into a multi-trillion-dollar asset class to which investors actively seek exposure. Unfortunately, our rules and regulations have not kept pace.
To that end, today’s proposal would provide a clear regulatory framework for the custody of crypto assets, giving investment advisers and funds a compliant pathway where none existed before—and replacing the grey of uncertainty created by custody rules crafted for a bygone era.

Today we're launching @rokkhq - a modern compass for meaningful living.
We believe that an increased lack of meaning and happiness is one of the most important and consequential issues of our generation. Why bother to fly to the stars if we feel empty and disconnected?
While it’s a complex problem largely driven by the unintended consequences of technology, we also believe that with the right application of technology we can address these critical issues, both at individual and societal levels. But first, we need to get back to what it means to be human.
At Rokk we are reimagining inner wellbeing for the next century by making things simpler, social and screenless.
We’re putting this all together into one coherent experience that’s fun and easy to use and ultimately helps us all live more meaningful lives - a modern compass for meaningful living.

Grateful to @coincenter for publishing this and allowing me to be their first guest-post!
Practical obscurity protected people because compiling a life from scattered records was expensive. Digitization and AI inverted that cost structure. Engineered obscurity restores it by permitting verification without compilation.
Digitization and AI have erased the costs that once protected our privacy. A new generation of cryptography is bringing them back.

We're proud to announce a new step in Malaysia's capital markets journey.
At #LIDACKL 2026, Luno Malaysia signed an Intent to Collaborate with Kenanga Investors Berhad and @HalogenCapital to explore a Ringgit-pegged stablecoin as an on-chain settlement instrument for tokenised money market funds.
Malaysia's capital markets are moving on-chain, and we're glad to help build the road.
More to come as this partnership takes shape 🤝
Today at LIDAC 2026, we signed an Intent to Collaborate (ItC) with @LunoGlobal and Kenanga Investors Berhad to explore UMYR, a Ringgit-pegged stablecoin issued by Luno Malaysia as an on-chain settlement instrument for tokenised money market funds.
As Malaysia’s early adopter of fund tokenisation, we often question how we can make institutional-scale financial settlements faster, yet highly secure.
Tokenised fund products already exist in Malaysia's market today. The next step would be an institutionally focused settlement layer under the Securities Commission Malaysia’s regulatory framework.
With this, we’ll look at how UMYR can be used to settle fund subscriptions and redemptions, as a step toward advancing Malaysia’s capital markets on-chain.
We are proud to take this step forward, alongside Luno Malaysia and Kenanga Investors Berhad.
