and by the time they are of age to be able to understand impulse control it is almost too late to backtrack because parents are constantly enabling their behavior!! boys are not born into violence, it is taught as something they should seek out in order to become ‘real men’ !!

i’m glad that we are talking about the gendered socialization of children because that is truly where it all begins! boys are not born into this behavior EVER!! and young girls learn to fend for themselves much too late bc of what they are taught is ‘normal’
