Very good EV numbers for Democrats basically mean one thing: they want as low a turnout as possible on Tuesday

If you believe Netanyahu will stick to that deal I have a house to sell you.
Channel 14 Political Correspondent Moti Kastel: The most realistic option is a unity government pushed by President Herzog, which would have Netanyahu serve the first two years as PM in exchange for an agreement to retire from politics afterwards and receive a presidential pardon. @KastelMoti

What isn't addressed here is that Alaska uses ranked choice voting and no one there is confused about 2 guys with the same name If Peltola wins after the first round with over 50% it doesnt matter because if you combined both Sullivans votes together, it would still be less than 50% I imagine in the rare instance anyone is confused, they will mark Sullivans as choice 1 and 2 on their ballot and if there are subsequent rounds, it will all come out in the wash.
Trump: "It has just been determined that the Democrats in Alaska illegally searched for, and recruited, a man named Dan Sullivan to run against our distinguished Republican Senator, Dan Sullivan, in order to defraud, confuse, and obfuscate the Election, thereby taking votes away from the REAL Senator, Dan Sullivan. The New York Times reports that, 'Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska’s Senate ballot. But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run — as well as other candidates.' The Democrats’ false statements were made under oath in Federal Court. Therefore, they perjured themselves, and should be liable for very serious consequences. Mary Peltola should suffer the Legal and Political consequences for what she has done, A FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, and Dan Sullivan should be allowed to run without either Mary Peltola or FAKE Dan Sullivan on the Ballot. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

We've got the first donor disclosure for Fair Deal Alaska, which spent against Mary Peltola in the #AKSEN primary, while boosting a lesser-known Dem and a Green Party candidate It was primarily funded by the Senate Leadership Fund (R) docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/for…

I don't think Flanagan is up 14. But this is a state that was roughly 5 points to the left of the country in 2024. So if you assume even a D+7 year, you'd get close to Flanagan+14 as the baseline before factoring in the Walz thing. That's why I say something in the 8-10 ballpark
I love @Nate_Cohn. One of the greats. But like this looks more like a weighting issue I think. The non-D/R leaned PID is only at 6% when it should probably be like 8 or 10. D share too inflated. You also only have 13% HS or less for education when it's supposed to be a quarter.

But for POTUS to decry A FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC is the most tone-deaf thing imaginable from a guy who tried very hard after 2020 to perpetrate a much, much more pernicious FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC that still reverberates six years later. Self-awareness quotient=0. 2/2

Look, I'm in a state where there are two Fords on the Dem side running for gov. Forget that, though. The most amazing part of the NYT Alaska story is not only did these clumsy Dems lie about their involvement, but the key player tried to retract her admission of guilt! But! 1/2

Wow. Republicans clearly have a farm state problem (it’s another reason the Times poll might be better than we think in MN)

this story and would've run it in August if they did to lessen the impact.

C) will it affect things? Maybe? But I'm skeptical it moves a lot of voters. It's an unforced error, but the economy is what people care about. D) It's yet another reminder that saying the MSM has a pro-Democratic bias is flat wrong. If they did, the Times wouldn't have reported

Re the Alaska thing: a) It was monumentally stupid to think they could recruit this guy without it coming out and b) that it would actually help them. It reinforces for me that a lot of political operatives have absolutely no common sense & don't belong working in politics.

What's striking about this "ballot stacking" scheme is that it's largely negated by Alaska's instant-runoff voting system. E.g., if someone ranks the Dan Sullivans 1-2 (in either order), the result is exactly the same after preferences are transferred. nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

It was remarkably stupid in a RCV state but it wasn't illegal.

No, actually I’m mad because I want Peltola to win and this potentially endangers it.

I really don't think this fits any colloquial understanding of corruption Corruption is about using power of position/office to benefit you Is getting a decoy to run corrupt? Or is stripping the decoy's party affiliation and giving the senator an incumbent label corrupt?

I think it’s the first non-junk poll in that race.

To be clear - THIS cycle, @Senate_Fund spent nearly $500k to secure a Green Party candidate who lives in AZ to run in AK. And in '24 AK GOP recruited a prisoner w/ no ties to AK and w/ a NY address to run against Peltola. The AK GOP took legal action to keep him on the ballot.

This situation is mostly just extremely funny, but I genuinely pity Peltola for having had this person as her campaign manager 😭
Don't usually see this level of mess in public
