Here’s an AI poem in a unique mathematical-rhythmic language about the β€œanti-time theory”. There are people in a warehouse ripping physical MUDWATER packs 24/7 to reveal what people onchain rip digitally. Someone raised a fair question about trust: what happens if a pack reveals a 1/1? What stops a ripper from pocketing it? πŸ™ˆ @0xQuit said there are cameras on them. πŸ‘οΈ Okay, hear me out… What if the physical ripping that’s already being recorded was LIVE STREAMED? πŸΏπŸ‘€ And what if you could only watch that livestream inside Otherside? 🀯🀯🀯 Imagine the excitement, participation AND extra layer of trust that could create. Degens like me would absolutely lose it πŸ˜‚πŸ₯³ Ripping digital packs on one screen, watching it being ripped IRL and live streamed to Otherside on another screen πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Too much to ask, or can devs do something? πŸ‘€ @mfigge @0xQuit @spencer
that's why we have cameras on them

So these early AI agents could escape their β€œoffline world” and found ways to communicate between different hardware side-channels yet as humans we are still stuck in our own world and haven’t found a route to communicate with β€œhardware side-channels” yet??? I’m disappointed.
Over the past several months, we have substantially hardened the security of our research training environment. We’ve removed live internet access for all frontier models during training and built an offline world for them to use insteadβ€”a cached version of the web where they can still learn to browse, search, and use applications. On September 20, after a model exploited a DNS misconfiguration to find a way outside of this offline world, we paused frontier training to strengthen containment further. We assembled teams of agents, powered by our most cyber-capable models, and tasked them with finding weaknesses in our research environments. While they found no route to the internet they could easily exploit while concealing their activity from our monitors, they did find zero-day vulnerabilities, virtual machine escapes, and hardware side-channels for communication between agents. We used their discoveries to further strengthen our defenses and contribute fixes to open-source software. After strengthening our containment architecture, we resumed our frontier RL training and inference on October 1. We’ve reserved substantial compute for continuous red-teaming, and made high-compute red-teaming part of the safety cases we use to decide whether frontier training and evaluation can proceed securely. openai.com/index/securing-ou…

day 2 charleston apefest takeaways: -main event at beeple studios. sooooo many ppl! (1000+) cars parked on the street probably all the way a mile away. this might be the first apefest that invited other collectors (beeple’s list). ratio was about 6 apes / 4 non apes. -all announcements happened online. funny that we were all together irl but with such bad internet signals we couldn’t even get updated info lol -venue and setup were really nice. ape elements everywhere. -best club when it comes to taste. i’ve been to hundreds of events but ape events are always very detail oriented. from visuals to music to overall experience. personally think this is a big moat for the team. taste is gold in the ai era. -apes had a separate area with performances, food, drinks and experiences. -vibes were amazing! ppl are genuinely kind and help each other without being asked. reminded me of the 2021 vibes. -you can tell the yuga team and beeple studios put a lot of time and effort into this. respect. -one small detail i really liked. usually when you don’t sign up for an event, you’re just told to leave. but at the yuga builders brunch, they took ppl who didn’t register to a bar next door, got them drinks and let them hang out until seats opened up. super sweet and thoughtful. -there were only events i couldn’t make it to, not like there were no events to go to. -good balance of fun + social + news + performances. offset was dope! worth my time being here. will come again. it’s the ppl and the little details that make apefest special.
day 1 charleston apefest takeaways: -way more people showed up than i expected. -people traveled from asia, europe, dubai, and beyond. some took 3 connecting flights just to be here. -reunions everywhere. nothing but good vibes. -a surprising number of new apes. -uber wait times are insane (10–20 mins), but monkeys just hang out and chat until their rides show up. -barely anyone talks about floor price, which is honestly refreshing. -depending on lifestyle and travel distance, people are spending anywhere from the cost of 1 mayc to 1 bayc just to be here. -for ogs, getting together means more than the time and money it takes to make it happen. apes are here because of the people. rare.

People flew in from all over the world. Some came in groups and some came alone. It takes courage to cross a country or a whole ocean. It takes courage to come up and say, β€œHey, I don’t think we’ve met." Seeing this happen all the time in Charleston. Apes are courageous. 🀝

OpenAI β€œTERMINATED” their employee? 😱😱😱 OMG Or do they mean the employment was terminated? lol
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work. At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated. We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

Fucking hell @Ledger wtaf????
UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users. I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet). The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries). My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold. Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk. I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it. If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!

No misspell. It's the United States. Multiple outlets and Pentagon officials confirm Nidal Hasan’s military firing squad execution is set for Dec 3, 2026 at Fort Hood and will be livestreamed.

No, it's the United States. Nidal Hasan, the former Army major and Fort Hood shooter who was left paraplegic after the 2009 attack, is scheduled for military firing squad execution on December 3, 2026, with the Pentagon planning to livestream it.
