Please retweet to support Pippa, abandoned while pregnant #YORKSHIRE #UK 💔💔💔 21 Oct 2026 Dumped in a garden centre car park‼️ We need new legislation re breeding and ownership of pets‼️ There’s always lots going on here behind the scenes, and we’ve had a really emotional time over the last week helping this poor poppet. We’ve called her Pippa, and isn’t she just the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen. Pippa, although only a pup herself was dumped in a garden centre car park. She wasn’t local to us but was taken to a vets who we’ve worked with previously, and they reached out to us for help. The urgency? Poor little Pippa was in labour. Upon investigation, various scans and X-rays we knew something wasn’t quite right. She had a pup in her birth canal, her cervix was open however she showed no signs of actively pushing or contracting. We made the decision to preform a C section, and sadly when doing so it was very clear poor Pippa had been in difficulty for some time, and her sweet little puppies had sadly died some time ago. Absolutely devastated, and equally furious that this poor little dog had been left suffering, to then be thrown out when she needed help and support most. 😭 Thanks to the amazing vets and their quick action we managed to save little Pippa, and remove the dead pups successfully. She is recovering well physically, but emotionally, she will be a while before she is where she needs to be. She’s still very underweight and we’ve treated her flea infestation, but she’s so anxious of people it’s going to take lots of love and time to help this little love. This is not normal, after 7 days if a dog isn’t reclaimed it can be euthanised. The sad reality is so many dogs loose their lives due to irresponsible owners discarding them like rubbish. We need to do better. We didn’t have space, I watched her and I couldn’t let her die so here she is 🥰 I know her chances of finding a home are slim as people just don’t want big dogs these days, but for now, she has made friends, settled on the sofa and enjoyed her McDonald’s breakfast, and I adore her big soppy nature. Please retweet, for years @Conservatives and now @UKLabour have refused to ask vets to report how many healthy dogs they are killing for council pounds and owners. No figures exist so governments are not required to change legislation, they have told me 'there is no issue, dogs are not being killed.' While we have no figures re how many dogs are being killed it makes it more difficult for campaigners to ask for a halt or ban on breeding. Pet selling sites and the selling of animals on social media should also be banned. For some reason governments will not act to stop cruel breeding. Please retweet, New Hope Animal Rescue #KENT #UK 'Yesterday we undertook a big rescue and took 28 dogs in at once. 21 Oct 2026. 💔💔💔💔💔💔 It was quite a day but that’s 28 lives saved and the first bit of giving them the life they deserve complete. Some of these poor dogs aren’t in great condition physically, several have skin and eye issues. Lots are still full of milk and clearly have not long had puppies and lots have clearly had lots of litters in the past. Some are just terrified and have clearly not seen a lot in their lives. Some were younger and don’t know life out of the sad environment they were born in to. They all wanted reassurance and love so badly but at least that’s what they’ve got to come. It’s a huge weight and responsibility to ensure all these dogs are correctly placed into the right forward rescues where we can guarantee they will get everything they need, both medically and emotionally and go on to have the life of love and safety they so thoroughly deserve. It takes a lot of time, thought, liaison and organisation to make sure this happens and that they get delivered where they need to go safely. Receiving the dogs, checking them all over, checking through paperwork, settling them all in, making arrangements and agreements with the right forward rescues for each individual dog, and sorting and funding the transport runs for so many is quite the mammoth task. Thankfully we have an amazing network of trusted rescues that help us and it’s because of them we can undertake such big operations, not to mention our incredible drivers. It’s an honour to be able to help so many deserving dogs and warming to know they now have a chance at great lives. For me there is always an underlying sadness that they are in the position they are in and some of the trauma they are feeling just leaks into you, but that will dilute as they flourish in their new lives. Please bear in mind these dogs are not ready for rehoming and we wont be able to respond to rehoming requests or requests to find out where they are, they are at the very start of their rescue journey and wont be ready for new homes for a while. They need to heal physically and mentally. Our job was to get them safe, sorted and onto the very initial bit of their rescue road. They will remain will us for a short period before heading to their forward rescue spaces where the start of their new life begins. You guys that support us make this kind of thing possible, we’re thankful.
