This month, we began pre-construction on NYC's first Dutch Style 🚲 parking hub. Some details on how the project is shaping up in 🧵⬇️
Some news: This winter the @ooneepod team is launching NYC's first Dutch-Style🚲 parking hub in Brooklyn's Sunset Park. The facility will provide free parking for 100+ bikes + scooters, and will include safe charging, and appt based repairs + service.

A good primer on why @ooneepod is taking the @NYC_DOT to court regarding secure bike parking. The Adams era agency is essentially saying that local and international leaders in the space (who submitted a 500 page, thorough proposal) weren't worth a single follow up or question.

Good stuff. These ebike battery swapping stations could dramatically lower risk of apartments fires from ebike charging.
I've seen videos of this in action in Taiwan and looked great. Never thought JC would be the first place in the US to try it.
