My opponent lifted the camping ban, and now Austin’s streets, the Greenbelt, and affordable housing properties are flooded with homeless encampments, needles, and trash. There have even been kids stuck by needles at elementary schools on the playground. When I’m in Congress, I’m going to pressure Travis County and the City of Austin to reinstate the camping ban and end taxpayer-funded syringe distribution. If they refuse, I’ll call for an investigation because providing those syringes violates state law.
