A little late to this party, but if you’re after a good read, can highly recommend!!!
Happy publication day to my book baby 🥳 I hope you’ll enjoy this deliberately realistic and fast-paced glimpse into modern Australian hospitals and medical training, and how patients, and healthcare workers might live, love and survive. Available at all bookstores, today!

Very proud of my amazing husband!!! The inaugural winner of the David Cooper Award tonight! @PeterMacRadOnc @TROGfightcancer @PeterMacCC @GICancer
Congratulations to Professor Trevor Leong, the Principal Investigator of the “TOPGEAR” Phase III trial, a large Australian-led international trial that seeks to answer important questions about the best treatment for patients with gastric cancer. #NHMRCAwards

Now this is worth the read and definitely raises questions about the state of our media and the influence they’ve had in this pandemic. Not all of it has been good (I’m being kind here).
Now this is how to do a Vaccine Ad! Let’s go, Victoria ❤️
Addressing vaccine hesitancy and the urgent need to lift vaccination numbers, artists across Australia have come together to launch a new public health campaign urging audiences to get vaccinated against #COVID19 artshub.com.au/2021/07/19/ar…

Congratulations to my super impressive husband (yep totally biased) for this achievement! So few get a Category 7 ranking, let alone the number 1 successful Grant Application!!!
The @GICancer TOPGEAR trial is expected to change how #gastriccancer is treated, and thanks to $621K from the @NHMRC the final analysis can begin. petermac.org/news/topgear-st…

To satisfy my curiosity ... Was it a deer or a moose on the loose (pun intended) in Fitzroy? Seriously disappointed that I missed seeing it and it was only a couple of streets away!

Elderly patients don’t always have the tech skills to easily undertake video conferencing but they will answer a phone!

Now this I fully support!
Doctors working in cancer care must be members and active participants of multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to optimise patient care. If not, you need to ask why and definitely should get a second opinion. canrefer.org.au/?_ga=2.75188…

To any or all of our Junior Colleagues, if this is you or has been you, please consider joining this class action... this is not just for you, it is for those who are yet to come as well. We have to fix this system!
For many years, early career doctors have been working excessive hours within a system that seemingly has little regard for the workplace agreements in place and the important work that they undertake! 9news.com.au/national/exhaus…
I completely agree! Enough is enough.
The PM says a ‘small delegation is the right way to do it’. I’m sorry, Prime Minister, but years of things being done the wrong way, years of failed small delegations, is why we are here. Now, we do it with placards and banners and megaphones - and votes.

This is a fantastic program. More Universities should get on board. So little undergrad oncology teaching. What better way to understand this disease?!
Please join ANZGOG in congratulating the hard-working Survivors Teaching Students volunteers who have delivered another great year of education sessions to future health professionals, sharing their ovarian cancer diagnosis stories 👏 #ovariancancer #SurvivorsTeachingStudents

Following on from this morning’s session @sonialf Let’s get screening happening too!
Cervical cancer is the only gynaecological cancer that has a detection test - the cervical screening test. However, 80% of women who develop #cervicalcancer have not been screened regularly or at all. When was your last test? #CervicalCancerAwarenessWeek

From tomorrow (Thursday, Nov 12) we’re updating our COVID-19 visitor policy allowing one household to visit a patient, once per day for two hours, in line with new Department of Health and Human Services guidelines. Children under 16 are also allowed to visit again.

I am in awe... strongly recommend listening to the Melb Uni webinar from this week if you want to hear a real expert.
I don't know if people realize how incredible a scholar Anthony Fauci is. He has an H-index of 221 (in medicine, >50 or above is highly accomplished, >100 is extraordinary, and >200 is stratospheric, achieved by <100 scholars in the world). His work has been cited 217,943 times.

I don’t read this rag but plenty of others do... but if Liverpool can do it, why not Melbourne? (I’d love to see Bolt lose his platform)
Replying to @Alex_Waters2050
Further to the above, it would fill me with immense hometown pride if Melbourne were to follow the lead of Liverpool and kick Murdoch's gutter media out of our city for good. #MurdochFreeMelbourne #MurdochRoyalCommision theshot.net.au/general-news/…
