What is wrong with people! Who does something like this. Vandalising a water treatment plant. Where are the security, and the cameras. I just don't believe this. Whoever it is should be tried for treason. 🇿🇦
This is the Temba Water Treatment plant in Tshwane. It was vandalised horrendously. It's operations have been shut. Why? It had no security. Why? The security contract was ended without a replacement. Why? Ask ActionSA MMC Hannes Coetzee. Why was TMPD not deployed? Ask the MMC again. Over the past week, previously employed security guards have been protesting outside Tshwane house. ActionSA promised to insource them. Nothing of the sort has happened. When the security contracts ended, guards across the city simply left their posts. The next day vandalism went through the ceiling.

...and that's about as close to an admision of guilt for f#@king up municipal service delivery as we're ever likely to get from @PresdencyZA @CyrilRamaphosa and his useless, lying, looting @MYANC @GovernmentZA. Remember it on 4th November! #VoetsekANC!
[WATCH] President Cyril Ramaphosa says municipalities will no longer have an automatic right to provide water and electricity. Instead, a compulsory licensing system will be introduced, with revenues from utility sales ring-fenced for infrastructure maintenance. He addressed the local government white paper launch today. This self inflicted water crises both here and in JHB has tipped the voting poll in favour of the @Our_DA . The ANC knows just how to shoot itself in both feet with 11 days left to municipal elections
URGENT WATER WARNING: TSHWANE URGES RESIDENTS TO SAVE WATER The City of Tshwane has warned that water levels in the Klapperkop and Garsfontein systems are critically low due to high consumption. Residents in affected areas may experience low water pressure and intermittent water supply interruptions. Authorities are urging residents to immediately: Stop watering gardens. Avoid washing vehicles and paving. Stop filling swimming pools. Use water only for essential needs. Affected areas include Pretoria CBD, Arcadia, Sunnyside, Hatfield, Brooklyn, Menlo Park, Lynnwood, Garsfontein, Moreleta Park, Faerie Glen, Waterkloof, Mamelodi, Silverton, Montana, Sinoville, Queenswood, Villieria, Waverley and surrounding areas. The City says it is monitoring reservoir levels and will issue further updates as necessary. Residents are urged to reduce water consumption immediately to help stabilise supply and prevent further disruptions. Source: @CityTshwane

President Ramaphosa is heading to Silicon Valley with a big delegation to meet AI executives and “understand how it works.” Meanwhile, over 2,200 SA schools still lack proper sanitation, hundreds more have insufficient toilets, and 773 don’t have adequate water supply. Kids are still using unsafe pits in places. Maybe sort out the basics before the fancy tech trip? 🚽💧 #Ramaphosa #AI #Schools #SouthAfrica

PetroSA is fighting for its survival after a former business partner, Nako Energy, applied to have the struggling state-owned petroleum company liquidated over R606-million in unpaid fuel bills. But court papers filed this week reveal another side to the dispute: Nako itself owes PetroSA R833-million for a cargo of diesel it bought and never paid for. If the two debts were offset, Nako would actually owe PetroSA R227-million. So why did PetroSA spend 18 months doing seemingly nothing to recover the money? And why did it continue awarding business to Nako, even after Nako's financiers began demanding payment? The dispute stems from a controversial fuel deal that left PetroSA struggling to sell petrol containing the chemical additive N-methylaniline (NMA). After motorists complained that the fuel was staining their vehicles, major fuel companies refused to buy more of the product. PetroSA's own court papers acknowledge that the deal damaged its reputation and cost it customers. Yet despite these problems, PetroSA continued trying to do business with Nako. In October 2025, it requested another petrol delivery. In December, it appointed Nako to supply diesel in Durban, even though lawyers representing Nako's financiers had already demanded payment of PetroSA's outstanding debt. It was only after Nako launched liquidation proceedings that PetroSA indicated it would consider taking steps to recover the R833-million it was owed. And all of this is happening against the backdrop of a deepening financial crisis at PetroSA, which owes SARS R5.1-billion and, by amaBhungane's estimate, could owe creditors around R10-billion in total. In this analysis, we examine the increasingly bitter dispute and the extraordinary lengths PetroSA went to accommodate its former partner, even as it failed to recover hundreds of millions of rands while facing mounting pressure from its own creditors. The Constitutional Court has set a dangerous precedent. The implication is that IEC deadlines can be disregarded by political parties without meaningful consequences. What is the point of having electoral deadlines if non-compliance carries no real penalty?
