The wonderful team at the RE Olds Transportation Museum provided us with these photos of President Teddy Roosevelt riding in a REO Model A with Ransom Eli Olds in 1907.
The history of REO runs deep and we can't wait to share the Runabout with you all to make history again.
Every Runabout interior comes with a magnet mount system.
There are several throughout the truck.
One of the mounts may or may not be the perfect shape and location for you to express your 2nd amendment rights.
We are from Texas after all….
Easter Egg:
Every Runabout will come with a stout engine designed for longevity.
But…..the engine mount in the chassis and the transmission tunnel are also designed to accept common swaps like the LS, K, and B58 from day one for customers who like to void warranties.
We call it a doomsday hedge…you call it what you want.
Let’s have some fun folks…
Hey @grok what percentage of new car sales in the USA are EV?
Easter Egg:
The Runabout is very likely transitioning to solid front axle-solid rear axle instead of the IFS-solid rear axle at first announcement.
Discussions are being had to increase on road comfort with adjustable caster and elimination of steering sway for daily drivers.
Easter Egg:
All Runabouts will feature what are commonly called “sealed beam” headlights. Less than $100 to replace all the headlights on the truck with nationwide availability from Amazon to Autozone.
We have integrated the sealed beam style into our design to look completely fresh in another “never been done before” aesthetic.
This plays on old square bodies of the past while carrying REO into the future.
Easter Egg:
Our door handles are practical, simple, and affordable.
As you’ll see soon, they make the body lines of the truck completely unobstructed.
This is an innovation we brought for design and functionality that has never been done in automotive before.

Didn’t get 1k likes but here’s a sneak peek.
FYI this is a render as the physical trucks are in the works.
This is the rear of the Runabout S4C showing a bit of the rear fender and the back until it turns to the rear of the vehicle.
We are calling this color Night Napier Green which is actually derivative of a REO heritage color and McLaren color (Frank Stephenson’s connection). We will use real paint so there’s no wrap shop chasing.
Our team completed some significant milestones this week. Seen here is Zach De Bernardi, our CEO, and Frank Stephenson presenting at the FSD studio in Dubai.
For those who’ve been asking, the design is entirely boxy and retro. Great care has been taken to give the Runabout its own identity with the right touch of modernity.
More images will come out this month with the full reveal in November.

Good news for all our merch customers.

The REO legacy runs deep but just like today, it’s changed over time.
33k of you have reserved a truck with right to repair at its very core.
Today, REO asked Congress to make these rights a reality via the attached letter to House leaders.
The proposed changes would restore REPAIR Act protections in HR7389 that were previously removed by those not in favor of your rights as a automobile consumer.
The big asks are:
No blocking your repair info or tools.
No blocking non-brand parts.
Adding a complaint line with an FTC deadline.

1. Email your representative using the above link from REO's letter.
2. Quote post this thread, tag your representative and say what state you're in.
3. Thank the people who originally wrote these protections and the committees deciding on them @DrNealDunnFL2 @RepMGP @RepBrendanBoyle @WarrenDavidson @HouseCommerce @TransportGOP @SenTedCruz @JohnCornyn
Additionally we would like to bring this to the attention of @RepLoriTrahan @RepAuchincloss
