Zionism definition: The belief that Jews should have an autonomous place on their ancestral homeland. Two questions: 1. Why aren’t you a Zionist? 2. Is there any other indigenous people you think shouldn’t have a home, or is it just the Jews?

John Read is always worth listening to! He's done a great job of using research and logic to inspire a rethinking of our mental health paradigms.
Yep. We talked about this “neuroprotective” myth with Professor @ReadReadj in one of the episodes in a series we created together.

Most philosophers prefer to keep madness at a safe distance. But to Wouter Kusters, the relationship is uncomfortably close: "Theoretical reflections have their practical counterpart in the breakdown of the mad." thereader.mitpress.mit.edu/i…

The ODESSI trial is finally published. The headline findings are: The odds of being admitted to hospital for severe mental illness was three times less for those who had Open Dialogue compared to standard care, reducing the use of hospital by 54%. The chance of being referred to a crisis service was halved for those who had Open Dialogue compared to standard care. Patient-defined recovery (people's rating of their own relationships, work, study and other self-rated markers of recovery) improved for those who had Open Dialogue compared to standard care. There was no statistically significant difference in the time it took to relapse in the Open Dialogue arm of the trial compared with standard care. Overall quality of life was improved for those who had Open Dialogue compared to standard care. Patient experience & rating of the care they received was higher for those who had Open Dialogue compared to standard care. Taken from RCPsych reporting (link below) Link to BBC article also below.
