One reason young Canadians are becoming our most politically conservative cohort (and they are; look it up) is because they've all had to interact with an Emily Lowan.

Green Party leader Emily Lowan doesn't want conservatives to exist.
Last I checked Canadians aren't allowed to say stuff like that. Or is it only when it's against conservatives that it's okay?
CBC quoted Lowan’s speech right up to the line that reveals the ideology—and then stopped
In their election-night write-up, CBC reported: “We may have a small caucus, but tonight we have inherited an enormous responsibility, and that is to hold a majority Conservative government to account.”
What she said next, according to the full transcript (and the video CBC itself posted):“We are the only party who is equipped to stand against the Conservatives and their existence.”
That is not “holding a government to account.” That is declaring the victorious party’s existence illegitimate. It is the language of elimination, not opposition
If a BC Conservative candidate had said the NDP or Greens needed to be opposed “and their existence,” it would have led every newscast, every panel, and every CBC segment for days. Instead, the line was edited out of the written coverage while the surrounding sentences were used to portray her as a responsible voice of accountability
This is not an oversight. CBC has the full speech on their website. They chose which sentences to quote and which to bury. Meanwhile, hosts and panels continue to treat the BC Conservatives as uniquely dangerous while soft-pedaling a 26-year-old party leader who just framed an entire party’s existence as the problem to be solved
Age is not a shield. “Movement building” is not a euphemism that erases the actual words. Selective quotation that stops one sentence before the most revealing line is not journalism—it is CBC narrative management
The video is on CBC’s own site. The transcript is public. The CBC omission is the story @brodiefenlon

Okay Emily's speech is not grounded in reality, replete with fighting back hyperbole tears. Bummer. But 2 out of three 'ain't bad.
Glad Lorne gave her the respect she deserves, too bad she didn't return it. Would've been more impressive.
@Conservative_BC @Emily_Lowan
A massive thank you to everyone in Saanich North and the Islands who stood with our team throughout this campaign. We mobilized our community and built a powerful Conservative foundation here.
The local count may not have gone our way, but British Columbia has elected a Conservative government ready to get our province back on track.
I love this community, and my advocacy for our Gulf Islands and Peninsula communities will never stop.
We are just getting started. 🌊🌲

I don't even live in BC but the meltdown the left is having over the election results is absolutely hilarious😂
Congratulations, BC! Your beautiful province voted for change for the better and I hope you get it :)

This is a good reminder that voting Conservative isn't only about better policies and improving communities and provinces.
It's about survival.
When the lunatics on the Left say they want to "end Conservatives" they mean it. That's their policy. xitter.cf/Anc_Aesthetics/status/…

“Stand against their existence!?”
Some of the most radical, intolerant, dehumanizing language I’ve seen yet coming from BC’s socialists and that says a lot.

BC Green Leader Emily Lowan clinched a seat in Vancouver Island riding. She’s seriously must be smoking pot.
Her acceptance speech was utterly pathetic and comedy, she’s done after this. She made a total ass of herself.

There’s a long list of repairs to start work on. Restoring the rights of accident victims. Unmuzzling healthcare workers. Restoring fiscal responsibility. Eliminating waste and prioritizing resources.
Here’s what the B.C. Conservatives promised to do when elected ctvnews.ca/vancouver/article…
This is the deeply disrespectful behaviour of the newly elected MLA for Saanich North and the Islands. Filmed during the 2026 Provincial Election.
We believe the location of this horrendous video to be the Seniors Outdoor Recreation area in Sidney BC.
I’m shocked and dismayed that voters here wanted this individual to serve us in addressing critical issues in the riding I have called home for nearly 20 years.
Our ER at Saanich Peninsula Hospital has been closed overnight for 3 ½ years under the previous Green/NDP government.
The behaviour of this MLA-elect along with the dismissive, angry and disturbing speech given after last nights election result may show a pattern of behaviour that is troubling.

I was thinking this had to be one –if not the best, arrivals of a Premier-elect I've seen.
He truly deserves this win.

Gen Z. Too many were never taught grace, humility and self awareness –and there's no elegance. Hindsight will visit her soon enough.
Nice to see @Emily_Lowan win her seat and inject some youthful energy and ideas into BC politics. But her speech tonight was way too dark, way too pessimistic at a time when British Columbians have voted for change and some hope. Fight hard for your ideas but don’t be shy about extending some grace when grace is called for.

Frankly disgusting… does Emily Lowan of the #Green party not realize the vast majority of British Columbians have spoken.
She is more out of touch as her speech goes on with lies and activist fantasy. You can be sure that the media will give her far more coverage over the coming years than she deserves. Shame on her and her supporters for more fear-mongering even in the face of an overall resounding B.C. voice of “NO” to her and her party.

I have to say, David Eby and the NDP have run what is perhaps the worst election campaign of my lifetime.
Devoid of any positivity, any coherent rationale for why they deserve to be re-elected.
Filled with embarrassing gaffes (see Eby’s $10/day daycare) and a total lack of policy or rhetorical imagination.
31 days into the campaign, they can’t even articulate why they called this election in the first place.
All they have left is fearmongering, division and misinformation.
Tomorrow, October 24th, let’s vote for a change.
