🚨 BREAKING: Half a million Palestinians in Gaza will lose monthly food assistance as funding shortages force major World Food Programme cuts ahead of winter, ABC News Australia reports. ➤ WFP is reducing its monthly reach from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. Families receiving two food parcels will now get one, and flour bags will shrink. ➤ Daily hot meals have fallen from 250,000 to 150,000. Some families in hard-to-reach areas will receive meals every other day instead of daily. Cash assistance for 75,000 families is being cut by 40%. ➤ WFP’s Carl Skau said traditional donors, including the U.S. and Europe, have reduced funding. “It’s not because the needs are down … it’s only due to the lack of funding,” Skau told ABC. ➤ Around 1.4 million people face crisis-level hunger or worse, including 200,000 in emergency conditions. WFP says it urgently needs $450 million for six months of operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The World Food Programme has announced the suspension of aid to half a million people in Gaza due to funding shortages. Families here depend on this aid and the flour it provides to put bread and food on the table. My family is among them. Suspending this aid means thousands of families will face hunger once again. Instead of increasing aid, it is being cut day after day, while humanitarian organizations suspend their services due to a lack of funding. This is not fair. We are facing the risk of famine returning to Gaza.

A majority of the 635 children held in Israeli prisons in 2025 were put in solitary confinement, usually for between one and two weeks – some up to eight times. 92 per cent of those children had not been sentenced. A third had not even been charged with an offence. The world's highest court says Israel is an apartheid state. Its decades-long occupation is illegal.

A statement was issued just moments ago announcing a ban on the entry of commercial goods into Gaza City until further notice. Meanwhile, late at night, people have begun rushing to the markets, trying to buy whatever food they can for their children out of fear that food supplies will run out and famine will return. If the ban on commercial goods and food supplies entering Gaza continues, famine will return in an even more severe and devastating form. Enough playing with our lives. We are human beings, not numbers.

World Central Kitchen in Gaza abruptly terminated the contracts of 250 chefs without any prior notice. Half of the kitchens providing food to displaced people have been closed, and the number of meals being served has been significantly reduced in recent weeks. We don’t understand what is happening, or how this aid can be cut back when thousands of people in Gaza still depend on it to survive. What will happen to these people now?

Today should've been Dr. Refaat Al-Areer's 47th birthday, but Israel assassinated him. A professor who has epitomised the quintessential levels of knowledge, honour, and dignity. An inextinguishable light for Palestine and the world. May Allah place him in the highest heaven.
في مثل هذا اليوم ولد رفعت العرعير، كان يفترض أن يبلغ 47 عاما لو أن إسرائيل لم تقتله!

Be proud about it. I loathe Israel. I despise Zionists. Nothing but disgust for genocide lovers. Rot slowly, scum of the earth, depraved devils. You deserve nothing but disdain. Blood soaked fascists feasting on the flesh of occupiers natives. Fuck off into the sun.

Thinking about the unbeatable @jccfergie who made ultimate sacrifices for the Palestinian cause. Fergie must be freed at once. @sanchezcastejon must step in and release him immediately. Free Fergie Chambers now!
.@jccfergie has made huge humanitarian contributions to Gaza and has paid legal fees for Palestine Actionists being persecuted by @Keir_Starmer. This is undoubtedly why the US is trying to imprison him for decades. This must be resisted! theguardian.com/us-news/2026…

A senior Gaza armed resistance commander told sources on the ground that after conducting meticulous interrogation of an apprehended network of wartime collaborators, Israel demonstrably deploys its spies in funeral processions and hospitals' morgues to obtain personal information of the fatalities and ensure it has achieved its targets from the attacks. Other spies disguised themselves as journalists and provided extensive updates to Israeli officers on the phone during one of the funeral marches. Today's strikes on Al-Nusairat Camp embodied this fear and prompted the local authorities to cross every T and dot every I. New instructions may be announced soon for journalists and activists in the next few weeks to avoid handing gifted information to Israel through filming the deceased faces. The understanding right now is that the observation of journalists will also be stricter for security reasons. Israel continues to breach the ceasefire agreement by assassinating fighters and murdering innocent people in Gaza. Over 1100 people have been killed since the so-called peace plan. I have also talked to people of homes bordering the yellow line. They feel terrified of receiving evacuation notices from the Israeli military at any time and being displaced again. They've got nowhere to go. Israel's expansion and occupation of the beleaguered territory intensifies. Violations of the ceasefire have roughly now reached 4000 by Israel. From aid cuts to repeated bombardment and obliteration, Gaza's bleeding is only getting more profuse.

One year ago today, the occupation took Mosab Ali from us. Targeted and killed him as he was sourcing aid. It was one of the darkest days in The Sameer Project's brief history. We lost far more than a colleague. We lost a leader, a calming presence in moments of chaos, a trusted friend, a moral compass, and a beloved member of our family. Mosab lived a life of service. He cared deeply for his people and carried himself with humility, kindness, and unwavering faith. He feared God, loved God, and dedicated himself to serving others. Even from his own salary, he would set aside money to help feed families in his neighborhood. He cared for his family with devotion and treated every resident of our camps as an extension of that family. To know Mosab was to witness compassion, honor, respect. He listened more than he spoke. He comforted others before thinking of himself. He believed that dignity, mercy, and community were not ideals, but responsibilities. Mosab was also a dreamer. He dreamed of a better Gaza - founding our partner organization, TechMed, out of concern for the mental health of his people going through a genocide. He was going to make a better future for children. Those dreams did not die with him. We carry them with us every day. We miss him beyond words. We miss his wisdom, his laughter, his patience, and his presence. But we honor him in the way he would have wanted: by continuing the work, caring for our people, and refusing to give up on the future he believed was possible. May Allah have mercy on our beloved Mosab, accept him among the righteous, and grant him the highest levels of Jannah. You are gone from our daily sight, but never from our hearts.

I'm expecting every single "allied" politician to put out a statement condemning the Islamophobic and genocidal Israeli bombing of Gaza - especially on the Day of Arafat and the night of Eid al-Adha. Every single one of you should be sharing photos and videos coming out of 🇵🇸

Most ppl don’t realize that even $3 can make this much of a difference right now in Gz. This is not all that we should be doing, it is the bare bare minimum but ppl must be kept alive while the fight continues. If you’re seeing this and have $3 in your account, donate $3.
Palestinians in Gaza feel forgotten - and they’re right. Donations dropped drastically and the media barely mentions Gaza and when it does it’s censored and full of fake news. Please help today: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Palestinians are having fist fights to get bread to eat. Food is too expensive for most people to buy. Many children remain malnourished. The situation is beyond tragic and Palestinians in Gaza are being killed slowly while the world remains silent. The Sameer Project bakery is trying to tackle the bread issue by doing daily distributions in displacement camps. On April 22nd, we gave out 150 bags of bread to Salam Camp and 70 bags to Kanz Camp in Gaza City. 20 bags were distributed to surrounding tents. The 240 bags cost $677, including the 11% commission. For around $3, you provide a family in Gaza with a bag of bread that is enough for a large family for the day or for a small family for two days. During the famine last summer, a bag of bread was a dream - please help us feed Palestinians in Gaza. Donate urgently to the Food & Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Food")
