There are people out there claiming PIP for their "social anxiety" and this guy's fully Hawking and still managing to orchestrate international terror. Be inspired.

One thing I've noticed is that people are blind to infrastructure. In this image, you see a well-maintained road, even with pedestrian infrastructure, neatly clipped grass, a powerline, almost no trash etc. yet the person thinks it's Nigeria because the houses are shabby.
absolutely insane tbh
Spot the difference.
🇪🇺 @EIB, Europe's public bank, lends @Airbus €3bn. With interest, to be repaid and at competitive market condition.
@USTradeRep: a risk to the transatlantic trade truce.
🇺🇸 Washington state approved an $8.7bn tax break for Boeing in 2013, the biggest in US history. Nothing to repay.
@USTradeRep: nothing to see here.
Add also the trade deals: Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and China have pledged more than 450 Boeing jets to the White House as part of their trade deals with the US - orders decided by tariff threats, not by price. Not exactly the "market-driven" aerospace Ambassador Greer talks about.
Usual American double standard:
When US wins, it's the free market.
When others win, it's unfair competition.
Meanwhile, the WTO ruled against US subsidies to Boeing too – and Europe has kept its retaliation on hold since 2021 anyway.
One loan, with interest, and Washington throws a tantrum. Can you imagine what would happen if Europe came together and started competing, with the same tools and methods, in all the other areas?

This is the weirdest shit in the world to me.
If I understand it right, the orthodox don't really work, are massive welfare recipients, don't serve in the military, but keep voting for more war... and they're growing as a % of population.
How is that sustainable?

Well that was simple
I wanted to visualise Britain's state spending ahead of the Budget, so I've vibe coded an app which presents it as a disk drive.
Take a look at the tradeoffs and see if you can make the budget fit:

I've been saying this for months and it gets people really mad for some reason.
The thing you must understand about NIMBYs is that they do not actually care about the things they say they do. No matter the specifics of the project, they will always find some excuse to oppose it.
"Free movement had allowed, in my view, the undercutting of wages. Some people debate this, but I saw evidence of it. Where people were brought in by agencies from other European countries and it was used to bring wages down"

Everything about this is very on brand for the UK. A gang of hi-vis urban scarecrows stood in a pack, doing absolutely nothing. Cyclists thinking no rules apply to them at all. Pedestrians still using the pavement because rules indoctrination.
Cyclists are continuing to ride along the newly pedestrianised section of Oxford Street, despite being asked to dismount.
Around seven security staff have been stationed near Oxford Circus, calling out to cyclists to get off their bikes, with mixed success.

Honestly our government are useless cunts, £30 a fucking bag , pick them up for £3 in decathlon
The SNP want to give free school bags to all P1 pupils, and have managed to find a way to make it cost £30 per bag.
It is a quite incredible example of an out of touch government wasting taxpayers' money.

Stocking shelves in Sainsbury's and an entry-level graduate job in accounting are already very close to paying the same
this will only make the job market more fucked (particularly for young people)

Very fair point
Why should a pensioner on a £13K income be exempt from income tax when a person of working age is not? Those of working age do not receive free travel or all sorts of other discounts to which pensioners are entitled. We do not exempt people from tax based on how many dependents they have, or how much housing in their area costs, so why exempt individuals based on age?
