Remember, parties belong to those who show up. If principled conservatives don't organize between now and the 2028 primaries and plan to show up, the populists will maintain their control of the party. Don't plan on populists to learn any lessons from what happened tonight. The Republican Party will not be conservative again until conservatives show up and take it back.

Ironic to talk about pretentious Letterboxd guys when a lot of "prequel revisionism" has involved creating this weird ersatz cinephile culture where people pretend that visual callbacks to classical art and cinema in and of themselves make for great art.
