A few quick thoughts.
1. The most important issues were Iran and corruption.
The corruption one is less discussed but it is ultimately more important. Corruption was guaranteed to torpedo both the populist coalition Trump built and the nationalist program he ran on.

Remember, parties belong to those who show up. If principled conservatives don't organize between now and the 2028 primaries and plan to show up, the populists will maintain their control of the party. Don't plan on populists to learn any lessons from what happened tonight. The Republican Party will not be conservative again until conservatives show up and take it back.

NGL, I don’t look forward to dealing with the Democrats worst instincts. The Campus/Hamas Left is just awful. The party as a whole needs to reign it in.

Ironic to talk about pretentious Letterboxd guys when a lot of "prequel revisionism" has involved creating this weird ersatz cinephile culture where people pretend that visual callbacks to classical art and cinema in and of themselves make for great art. As a rule, I don't like to comment an institution I was formerly involved with...but, man, this is sad.
During my 10 years at Popular Mechanics we worked hard to avoid political fads and keep the magazine focused on technology.
Even when we tackled politically fraught topics—like debunking 9/11 conspiracy theories, reviving nuclear power, or digital surveillance—we endeavored to stick to hard facts.
The lead story in the new issue of Popular Mechanics is “How to Fight a Data Center.”
How sad and bizarre. Another once-great technology magazine turned against technology by leftists.
