In the endless cavalcade of gaslighting that is politics these days, we're supposed to forget that the IHRA definition was drafted to aid data collection, and its lead drafter has repeatedly criticised how it's been used. Being seen to adopt it has become the point in itself.
I see Emma Little-Pengelly rather late in life has discovered the concept of press conferences and photo-opps.

Been teaching for 18 years. I have seen, heard, & heard of, instances of sexism, homophobia, & racism against PoC at work. But I have never seen, heard, or even heard about a single instance of antisemitism. In 18 years. This is now industrial strength gas lighting. Madness.
That’s Michelle’s green sleeve on the left.
That’s Emma literally clutching her pearls while trying to slide into the next seat.

If Iain Duncan Smith really cares about truth and justice, I will ask the Court Services for permission to show him an MOD document in which his friend, Captain Robert Nairac, is accused by a fellow, serving British officer of planning and executing the Miami Showband murders.
The IRA were terrorists, not soldiers. Their campaign of murder and bombing was not a war of equals, and no amount of historical revisionism will ever make it so. Labour’s Northern Ireland Troubles Bill risks allowing the IRA to rewrite history while British veterans face the prospect of being dragged through investigations decades after serving their country.
Where is the accountability for the IRA? Where are the answers from the Irish Government about those who fled across the border, the support they received and the supply of weapons?
I served in the British Army. My friend, Captain Robert Nairac, was murdered by the IRA. His body has never been recovered. His family still deserves to know what happened to him and where he lies.
The IRA cannot be allowed to portray its campaign of terror as justified by the Good Friday Agreement. Peace does not retrospectively legitimise murder. There is no moral equivalence between terrorists and those who served to uphold the law.
This Bill is a betrayal of our veterans and of families still waiting for the truth.

The BILLIONS of people on track to be killed this century won’t all be climate campaigners.
Climate campaigners are just people willing to accept uncomfortable scientific truths, while governments bury their heads in fossil fuel profits.

Early appointment so went out very briefly to see if the Ravens were about. No Ravens but surprised to get my best ever views of the Barn Owl in the rain. I have a window of a couple of hours later to hopefully see the Ravens but it’s wet so I will try not to worry if it don’t!

That’s the regiment that perpetrated the Ballymurphy massacre, Bloody Sunday, Springhill massacre, shot Dessie Healey (14), & John Beattie (17)

We don’t know if unionist or nationalist areas are more dangerous for asylum seekers as the report doesn’t say? #BBCTalkback
Of course we know.
Bit like saying if I hear hooves in the distance, I don’t know whether it’s going to be horses or zebras.
Technically true, but come on.

A chance to pause, speak to each other, listen and reflect on what has already taken place and the best way of responding to what may yet be to come.
’Parntly it’s the immigrants’ fault that France is in a state of uproar because of course the country has no history of violent street opposition to its rulers.
