A film I have long wanted to see, but couldn't find anywhere is the 1973 production of Eugene O'Neill's THE ICEMAN COMETH. Finally watched all four hours of it on Tubi, directed by John Frankenheimer, and starring Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, and Frederic March.

THIS
it's so important to me. seeing a hero working to rescue her brother purely out of love, not just obligation for losing him. it's so beautiful
🚨 NEW EPISODE! 🚨
THIS WEEK: Sandmen in search of prey, black-gloved killers stalking Rome, and a fashion house filled with decadence and deception. It's a Halloween special here on WILD EYE ARCHIVE!

I'm of two minds:
1.) I think this has enough critical consensus & word-of-mouth hype to get it where it needs to be.
2.) If it doesn't make its budget back, it's time to call a spade a spade and just admit the "animation community" would rather remain infantilized than see the medium be treated seriously. That or it'll be a condemnation of LAIKA's advertising budgets
if #wildwood bombs, i will never forgive the animation and movie communities.
Underrated part about the WILDWOOD promo cycle: seeing a happy & healthy sibling relationship on screen. Kid brother isn't an ingrate, big sister doesn't feel burdened a la LABYRINTH. And it's handled so naturally too. Genuinely stoked to see this on the big screen.
