This seems like a great time to reshare my favourite Sir Patrick Stewart performance, ‘What has the ECHR ever done for us?’ It’s just perfect in every possible way … including the ending 😂😂😂 RIP. 🎥 The Guardian

It literally is.
Mike Johnson: Everybody's frustrated about fuel prices, obviously. But that's not related to policies. It's not related to the Republicans in office.

Trump and his administration continue to escalate against British, Canadian and European interests, values, and security. By attacking the ICC, he is attacking *our* shared court and our structures of international law. By buying Russian diesel, he is giving Putin more capacity to kill Ukrainian civilians and threaten the security of all Europe, the UK included. A YouGov poll this week asked “which country do you think poses the biggest threat to the UK today?” It showed Brits regard Russia (46%) as the greatest perceived threat, followed by the US (12%) - ahead of Iran, Israel and China. It is becoming increasingly clear that Trump’s intentions towards us (in Canada, UK and Europe) are hostile. As America’s financial and moral positions in the world tumble, his policies towards the rest of the West look increasingly kamikaze. We need to increasingly take up antagonistic positions towards the US administration and the Big Tech companies that are undoubtedly becoming an extension of US executive power. Not a pleasant prospect, but absolutely necessary for our security.

Look at Zelensky. Look at his reaction to what Kushner is saying. Utter disgust. He’s doing his best not to show it, but @ZelenskyyUa is rightly and utterly disgusted with the Americans talking about Putin’s “aspirations.” Fuck Putin and his aspirations. He invaded a sovereign nation. He needs to get the fuck out of that sovereign nation. All of it. But alas, America has a president who’s on Putin’s side.
Jared Kushner says peace should be a “win-win” deal that helps Putin achieve his “aspirations.”

Replying to @BBCBreakfast
@BBCBreakfast have I got this right? You’ve interviewed Danny Kruger of Reform UK, a party with only 8 MPs. You’re not interviewing Matthew Pennycook, the Housing Minister? How are viewers meant to know what the govt is doing? #bbcbreakfast

Who else is fed up with #r4today leading their news headlines with what ReformUK might do if elected? Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow? Why does @BBCr4today not also lead with what Lib Dems might do, Tories, SNP or Greens ? Hmm? @BBCNews needs serious rethink. @BBCR4Feedback

I am deeply appalled and angry to see “Firework” used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes. I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it. I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for. My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.

State Pension age to rise to 68 for 5m Britons years earlier than expected. Many physically won't be able to work. Many won't live long enough to draw the state pension, one of the worst in developed countries. Rich can retire whenever they want. independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho…

The issue isn't Starmer, per se, it's the fact that we all now know, whoever is PM, unless it's some far right leader with friendly tax policies for the ultra wealthy, they will be met by a barage of misinformation and relentless online attacks: accusations they support p**dophiles & r*pists, that they jail 12,000 innocent people every year for tweeting; and all the usual misleading, manipulative BS designed to exploit people's emotions. This won't stop until they have installed the party they want. A party that will be focussed purely on optimising the affairs of its wealthy backers, and not on the working people and families of Britain.

Some notes on my work ethic: -I last voted in Parliament on 18 March, so I haven’t done my job for ten weeks. -I’ve never held any face-to-face constituency surgeries, despite apparently having £5 million to spend on security. -I refuse to do interviews or face press scrutiny of any sort. -when I was in the European Parliament I had the 4th worst attendance record out of 748 MEPs. -although I did manage to turn up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian misinformation. -I was on the Fisheries Committee but I only turned up to ONE out of 42 meetings. -but I will of course be taking my £73,000 EU pension. Vote Reform, get lazy, grifting, self-serving sacks of shit.

This should destroy Nigel Farage’s entire political argument. Net migration has collapsed from 944,000 to around 204,000, yet voters still think it’s rising because Reform and Farage have spent years feeding Britain hysteria instead of facts. Asylum seekers are only about 9% of immigration, not the “invasion” constantly screamed about. The NHS was broken by underfunding. Housing was broken by austerity. Wages were crushed by corporate greed. Migrants were the distraction. Not the cause.

If you vote for a Reform Government you will get this but 100x worse. You will get 100+ people in Government that have absolutely no idea how anything works. Some of you may think that's a good idea, but it's not.
So glad Reform is running several massive local government budgets for vital services. Please stop voting for these utter imbeciles.

There aren’t adequate words to properly express the depth and scale of trump’s corruption, it’s completely on a scale of its own with no historical equivalent to point to.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Trump traded stocks over 3,700 times in Q1 2026 - averaging 59 trades per day, 9 per hour, or one trade every 7 minutes.
