We should not have the courts involved.
We had a Commission.
It submitted a report.
The UCP didn’t like that report, because the changes in it were fair.
So there was an effort at a “minority” report. Which is not a thing. Which led us to this compromised, secret process.

For immediate release:
"For months, the Alberta NDP Caucus has been warning against UCP attempts to violate the democratic rights of Albertans and bring in election maps only meant to deliver a win for the UCP in the next election no matter what voters want.
"Elections Alberta warned Danielle Smith months ago that they need 12 to 18 months to implement new maps under perfect conditions. Instead, the UCP repeatedly changed the law to help themselves, denied Elections Alberta the resources it requested, and put all Albertans through a wasteful and incredibly costly referendum. Now Elections Alberta says they just don’t have enough time to implement the UCP’s rigged map in time for the October 27 fixed election date — a date already extended by Danielle Smith to give herself six more months in power.
"Danielle Smith and the UCP should have implemented the independent commission’s report six months ago and they could still do it now. Albertans deserve to vote in free, fair and timely elections. The UCP should stop cheating and do the right thing."

The premier has no mandate to move forward with petty and costly fights against Canada.
Albertans want a government that will work with our Canadian neighbours to improve healthcare, strengthen education, and make life more affordable.

In Canada, we don’t allow rigged elections. But the UCP keeps breaking democratic norms by giving themselves the power to redraw Alberta's new election maps.
It's a blatant attempt to cheat in the next election. We will always fight for fair elections.

At Nenshi's presser on the UCP's Gerrymandering, it came out that the Ethics Commissioner has had to suspend his investigation into ministers accepting elite hockey tickets...
Because it overlaps with a CRIMINAL investigation!

How much was the fix in on the gerrymandering report and making sure Albertans never know how it was made?
Watch this clip.
Danielle Smith sent her very best lapdogs to do exactly what she wanted.
Wonder what treats they get now that they did their trick?

More and more is coming to light in the CorruptCare scandal. We demand Danielle Smith call a public inquiry, NOW.
This involves at least $614,000,000 of Albertans' money at a time many people are struggling to find a doctor and get timely surgeries.
We all deserve transparency and accountability.

.@ABDanielleSmith, now that we’re all assured that UCP is not a separatist party and all UCP MLAs support unity, why not have a vote in the Legislature on question #10 as requested by #ForeverCanadian?
As a federalist leader, you’d want to send such a powerful message of unity.
Hey Alberta: is this incompetence or a full on intentional lie?

What did he spend it on? We don't know. The UCP changed disclosure rules.
All we can do if hope it was worth it.

Danielle Smith will do and say anything to preserve her job and retain power.
Truth and integrity are as foreign to her as loyalty.
Danielle knows that #ForeverCanadian 500,000 petition signatories didn’t want a referendum and all questions on it were designed by her.
