🤣
I was a kid when it came out... brother took me to the theater to see it... but it's certainly more enjoyable and pertinent as an adult.
Saw one cross my TV for the first time, today.
A completely AI Generated commercial with an AI version of Gov Shapiro talking about his own corruption.
It reminded me both of why I hate AI generated images/video and why I have learned to hate politics.
The ONE thing we though we could trust this Administration with was to not screw us over on energy costs... and they went ahead and proactively screwed us over on energy costs.
Just so we could be governed by Big Tech and a foreign country.

So We're Running This War (CLIP)- Tucker Carlson
My conversation with @TuckerCarlson is now up on Patreon, Substack, and YouTube. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber to watch now.
We're still waiting on all of that deflation that Miran was trying to convince us of a year ago.
He's one of the reasons that the GOP is in election trouble, right now. They dismissed the inflation in 2025 and that drove bad Fed Policy choices...which allowed for more inflation.
Yeah... it couldn't POSSIBLY be an entire year of shit policy, blatant corruption, degradation of their own 2024 coalition, or the resulting destructive consequences...
🚨 NEW: Fox’s @bdomenech just said the quiet part out loud: Trump’s been OUTWORKING the GOP’s midterm candidates!
“Frankly, he’s making a better case for their election in many instances than they are making for themselves.”
“He has been out there campaigning for them as hard as you can possibly go. He’s running late into the night, and he’s starting over the next day, and the energy level is huge.”
“I think that at the end of the day, if Republicans end up losing this race, they can blame history, they can blame the climate, but they can’t blame the President. I think the President has been out there, you know, having their back and making, quite frankly, a better case for their election in many instances than they are making for themselves.”
Phillies/Orioles...
I'm glad I got to see it when it happened because the O's haven't been back since and it took the Phils another 25 years to phinally win it.
This election involves the choice of Communism at home vs Blowing up shit across the globe...
Both of these paths will ultimately come home to roost via violence.
God bless y'all.
If you actually see this, we probably ain't gonna make a difference, but we can at least sleep at night. Heroes.
Godspeed.

One more thing on this topic, all the green energy and nuclear power in the world is not gonna drive a truck across a country until that truck is electric and charging from a supercharger. Until that happens, diesel is the only way objects move around the world once they make it off the boats and trains.

I won't try to dismiss your experience...but I will say that this sounds specific to a certain workload/lifestyle.
In that regard, it might be helpful to those who have a similar workload/lifestyle, but it sounds abstract to those of us who have more of a tangible experience.
As for your chart, again, it's what your chart doesn't show.
The global population and demand for goods has exploded over the past 50 years... and we're still lagging our production from 20 years ago.
We've been losing for a very long time.

Having seen manufacturing plants disappear over the decades as corporations opened shops in foreign nations due to their tariff/subsidy policies, I learned to recognize that it's absolutely a necessity to have that sovereign ability to impose tariffs, at will.

I've learned to accept tariffs as a necessary tool of sovereignty... and can accept them as the means of govt finance.
To your point, if the manufacturing is due to surged military expenditures or flash in the pan demand chasing cap-ex tax policy...we've got serious problems.

I get it, though. We know the routine.
It's political season and spinsters rule the day.
Every presentation shouldn't be viewed via purely good faith intention, but viewed through the critical lens of noteworthy omission or faulty assumptive counterfactual extrapolations.
