Qu: back in the 70’s, our power cuts were timetabled in advance, so you knew if you were an evening or overnight cut, and could prepare (eat, fill flasks, turn electric fire off, torches/candles). Then 15 mins before the cut, lights flickered as a warning. Was that nationwide?

It’s that time of the year again where all the extra plinths get placed in front of shelving for Xmas, which coupled with general poor & thoughtless management of shop floor space means that unless you can shape shift you are royally #DisabledByTheSupermarkets
