In 2001 George W Bush proposed a partial privatization plan for Social Security so you could put 10% of your SS contribution into the markets.
People rejected this.
We can now see that if it had passed, the 10% that went into the markets would have outperformed the 90% the government managed, the program would be solvent, and the average SS recipient would be receiving 2X what they currently receive.
The worst bet you’ll ever make is betting on government.

We’re heartbroken by the recent passing of Matt “Dresch” Drescher, a fixture of the San Diego basketball community.
He was set to bring Sharks games to life through our livestreams this season, and his passion and voice for basketball will be deeply missed.

Late on a Friday night a group of 14 unelected people voted to raise CA gas prices by as much as .67 cents a gallon. We already pay the highest prices in the country.
If this doesn’t make your blood boil Californians.

Bill Gates asked the Danish government to support DTP vaccination of 161 million African children…
Gates claimed it was saving 30 million lives, so the Danish government asked for the data, of which Gates had none…
So they went to Africa and looked at 30 years of DTP data. What they found was “SHOCKING”…
Girls injected with the DTP vaccine were dying at 10 times the rate of those who weren’t vaccinated

Joe Kernen absolutely destroyed Elizabeth Warren for calling for price controls.
This is how the media, on both sides, should be pushing against moronic, economically illiterate ideas that have been tried and failed countless times throughout history.

This man's name is John Hurley.
Three year ago today, John was shopping in Arvada, Colorado, when someone started shooting. So Johnny found shot and killed the shooter.
Then the @ArvadaPolice killed him.
For days afterwards, the @cityofarvada tried to make it sound like Johnny had been killed by the shooter, but after multiple FOIA requests and investigations, they finally owned up to the fact that their officers killed him.
According to their investigation, Kraig Brownlow is Johnny's killer. He shot Johnny in the back.
Johnny was a hero, and one of the leaders of @WeAreChangeCO, an independent media group who seeks to, in their words "expose the fraud of the left/right paradigm, and reveal that the world truly functions on a top/down hierarchy that threatens to destroy free society as we know it."
Months later, the government announced that Brownlow would not be held accountable for Johnny's killing, despite the fact that he never even attempted to positively ID him as the shooter, or even tell him to put his gun down before killing him.
Johnny was facing away from Brownlow, and had already stopped shooting minutes before.
In their statement, city officials said "this incident illustrates the nearly unfathomable decisions society asks our police officers to make as they go about their everyday work."
It wasn't unfathomable for Johnny. He just identified the shooter and killed him. Apparently that's too much to ask from Johnny's killer.
They then said "We hope our decision not to file charges will bring a small piece of closure to those affected and that in this finality there is some healing."
Imagine killing someone, and then telling his loved ones that you hope your decision not to hold yourself accountable brings them closure and healing.
Worse yet, the shooter apparently hated police and was attempting to kill as many as possible.
Johnny saved the lives of Arvada Police officers. Those same police killed Johnny for saving them, and the government protected his killer.
Johnny Hurley was a hero, even before he saved lives. The Arvada government isn't fit to clean his shoes, and we will not rest until the impediments to holding government accountable for their crimes are removed.
On this day, I ask that you take a moment to remember Johnny's heroism, and the absolute travesty in how his killing was handled by the Arvada government.
RIP Johnny.
Thank you.

Sometimes politics is so insane you can only marvel. CA legislator in their infinite idiocy passes $20 min wage for fast food. Panera franchisee and Newsom benefactor argues for and gets carve out for restaurants making bread onsite. Bagels and croissants don't qualify as bread.
California's new $20 minimum wage rule will exempt restaurants that sell bread, handing a lucrative break on wages to the Panera chain and one of Governor Gavin Newsom’s longtime allies trib.al/YsrXyLl

Judge Kathaleen McCormick rescinded Elon Musk's $55 billion Tesla compensation package, overturning the company's board and 80% of its shareholders.
McCormick also ruled against @elonmusk during his Twitter acquisition.
Before becoming the head of the Delaware Chancery Court, McCormick worked at a Delaware law firm called Young Conaway.
This firm and its employees have been major donors to President Joe Biden for decades.
In 2016, Hunter Biden hosted a gubernatorial campaign event for Congressman John Carney, with then-Vice President Joe Biden as the guest speaker.
This event took place at the Law Offices of Young Conaway in Wilmington, Delaware.
Carney, a close friend of Joe Biden for the last four decades, later became governor and nominated Kathaleen McCormick, a partner at Young Conaway, to her position on the Delaware Chancery Court.
In a March 2018 email, Hunter Biden claimed to personally know every judge on the Delaware Chancery Court while threatening legal action against his Chinese business partners.
"I will bring the suit in the Chancery court in Delaware - which as you know is my home state and I am privileged to have worked with and know every judge on the chancery court."
After Elon Musk purchased Twitter with the stated goal of restoring free-speech, President Biden called for a federal investigation into Musk on the podium at the White House.
Following this, the Biden Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Federal Trade Commission initiated legal actions and investigations against Tesla, SpaceX, and X.
This recent decision by Judge McCormick, who worked with Biden's top donors and was nominated by Biden's close friend, to override Tesla's board and the majority of its shareholders is another clear example of the Biden administration and its allies weaponizing the American legal system against their political opponents.

I don’t want to talk about this, but considering current events, I’ll share something I saw in 2006 in Iraq. Understand that I hate discussing this. Not a single day goes by that I don’t think about it. One night our PL walks in the enlisted tent inside BIAP around 2300 and asks for volunteers. Being the crazy bastard I am, I immediately got up and began to put my armor on without saying a word. I grabbed the M249, a few extra belts, and some extra hand grenades and followed the LT to the motor pool where our M113 was waiting. We performed all our radio checks, fueled up, called in to HQ, and left the front gate. It was dark. Really dark. The air had an awful stench of burning trash and the water in the canals smelled of feces. A dead dog laid on the side of the road under a dimly lit street light outside the gate. It was very quiet. Like the world was dead. Perhaps it was in that moment. We proceeded to our objective. A small home with a humble adobe brick wall outside its perimeter with some very dim lights barely lighting up the courtyard. Out came a middle aged man, carrying a little girl who was screaming bloody murder. We brought her in the M113 where our medic immediately began to stabilize the wound on her right hand. Two of her fingers were missing just above the knuckle. She calmed down considerably once our medics took possession of her. We proceeded to take her back to BIAP to receiver proper treatment with the father riding along with us. I was pulling security with the M249 but I would occasionally glance back at the little girl who had a look of sorrow and desperation on her face. It felt routine but in some ways something wasn’t right. The following day, about a dozen 60mm mortars landed very close to our tents. Luckily nobody was hurt. We later learned that the father purposely cut his daughter’s fingers off so he could gain access to the FOB and collect intelligence. Not a single day goes by that I don’t see that little girls face. Not a day goes by that I don’t realize what that look was on the ride back. Not a single day goes by that I don’t wonder if she is still alive. Point is…never underestimate the lengths your enemy is willing to go to in order to destroy you. Never forget the innocents who are caught in the middle.

Migrant Update: Over 15,200 migrants have been dropped in San Diego County in the past three weeks.
The potential allocation of $3 million for migrant services and the establishment of a migrant center is very concerning. This allocation is to be funded by County tax dollars – resources that I believe should be directed toward addressing pressing issues within our county.
Our community faces numerous challenges, including homelessness, deteriorating infrastructure, and mental health crises, which demand immediate attention and resources. These are issues that directly impact the lives of San Diego County residents, and they should rightfully remain the focus of county tax dollars.

I'm a Jew. I have many friends and family members in Israel right now. I want to speak about my personal experience of being Jewish and provide some education to my friends.
Jews represent 0.2% of the global population. That's 16 million of 8 billion people.
And yet, despite making up only 2% of the U.S. population, American Jews are the victims of nearly 60% of targeted hate crimes. And now we are dealing with record-high anti-semitic incidents in the US, every year increasing.
I've seen my friends' properties vandalized growing up and had bomb threats to my community centers. I've been discriminated against throughout my life in many ways.
I used to wear a Star of David necklace, but now I don't feel that's a good idea. Because I fear becoming a target.
I see Nazi rallies in cities around the country, and in places I've called home. I see mass amounts of hate against Jews on social media.
In Tampa, Florida, recently I witnesses several more Nazi rallies. And I've seen friends post about many others around the US and internationally.
Like many others in my community, I find myself very fearful for Israel and our community around the world. Not only because of the atrocities that are reoccurring in Israel but due to the alarming rise of anti-Semitism worldwide. For example, armed guards are a common sight at our temples.
We have popular figures causing mass rises of hate against Jews (thanks, Kanye West). We have the news twisting Israel into looking like a horrible, hate-filled country and military.
Many remain oblivious to the resurgence of anti-Semitism in the U.S., including both Jews and non-Jews. The lack of Holocaust education, for example, is a large part of the issue. Around 27 U.S. states are not required to teach it, and many don't.
According to PBS Frontline, 66% of millennials were unaware of what Auschwitz was and 22% were unaware of the Holocaust itself.
Surveys show young people are increasingly unaware of the mass murder of 6 million Jews and millions of other groups.
In Florida several years ago, school districts faced a new requirement to teach the Holocaust and black history, two and a half months after there were controversial comments made by Spanish River High School’s principal which expressed doubt about the Holocaust ever occurring.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the principal, William Latson, expressed to a parent at the school west of Boca Raton that “last year students could opt out of Holocaust lessons because ‘not everyone believes the Holocaust happened,’ and that he ‘can’t say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event.’”
This is just one example I bring up to show you what happens all across the US and the world. People are forgetting.
We must remember the horrors of the Holocaust to ensure they aren't repeated. As Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal poignantly said, "For evil to flourish, it only requires good men to do nothing." Now, more than ever, education on the Holocaust is vital – not only for Jews but for humanity.
Now, in regards to the Israel/Palestine conflict, this is something I urge you to do proper historical research based on scholarly articles... or go to the border of Israel and Palestine, like I have myself 2 separate times. This is a war.
I find most people have an opinion based on a few Instagram info-graphics they saw. And I've seen a dozen of those with completely inaccurate historical facts. Most people have no idea about the origination of Israel, the British Mandate, and where the term "Palestinian" even came from.
If you want to learn more, DM me, I'm happy to discuss it with you.
But, let me tell you how infuriating it is to hear people spew lies not grounded in any historical knowledge about this conflict, and about Israel in particular.
I will refrain from getting too deep into this because I find it is never productive on social media. But I urge you to educate yourself on the origination of Israel as a state and understand why Zionism is crucial for the survival of the Jewish people.
Israel absolutely has a right to defend itself, and I hope that we can find a path to peace for all the people of Israel and all innocent lives caught in this conflict 🇮🇱💙
