I'm scraping together my life's savings to partially surgically undo the disfigurement testosterone caused my body. Hopefully it'll be effective enough that I can stop being so afraid every time I go out in public.

i think one reason this discourse matters so much to trans women is that our whole lives, people have only related to us through caricatures, instead of seeing us for who we are. this is why we want to pass as cis, so we can be understood as people rather than as an abstraction

I maintain that trans women do more to “abolish gender” than basically everyone because the notions that 1) you can indeed change your sex and 2) being a woman is something desirable are so profoundly radical that the patriarchy wants to eradicate us completely
