Republicans control the White House.

- BILLIONS in crypto for himself
- $400 million dollar Qatari bribe jet
- Millions in media and tech settlements
- Gold bars and diamond rings for tariff relief
- BILLIONS in Pentagon contracts for his sons
- $100,000 per month per person for insider info
- $600 million dollar ballroom at taxpayer expense
YOU GET:

While they actively try to STEAL your vote.
WE ARE NOT POWERLESS.
Your vote can change this.

Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."

“We know that Russia uses citizens of 47 countries in its war. In this war” - President Zelenskyy
Imagine calling yourself a military superpower, but your army is so chewed up that you have to run a sketchy global scam to trick people from 47 different countries into dying in your mud. It’s beyond pathetic. Putin is basically treating human beings like cheap cannon fodder to cover up his own massive, embarrassing failures, and President Zelenskyy just called out the absolute cowardice of it right to the UN’s face:
President Zelenskyy:
“We have had more than just North Korean POWs. We know that Russia uses citizens of 47 countries in its war. In this war: Ghana, Nepal, Tajikistan, India, Yemen, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Belarus, Sudan, South Africa, and many, many other. And from time to time, we receive requests to send particular POWs back home. And through the videos from our drones, we also see people dying on the battlefield who are not Russians. People from your countries. 47 countries. Who ended up in Russia through deception and tricks. So, I want to speak directly to every representative of these 47 countries. You know what Russia is doing with your people, your citizens. Take care of them and do not let them end up on another front. Do not let putin drag you into this war. Do not let Russia put out its fires, cover up its shame, and pay for its madness with the lives of your people. Limit his room to act. Limit his money. Limit this war. And please, everyone here, do not be the last to join those who defend life. Be the first to say, we guaranteed security. Thank you, everyone who helps, and thank you to everyone who stands with us, with our people, with our children, with Ukraine. Slava Ukraini.”

Thirteen-year-old Jake passed away just two weeks before his 14th birthday after what his mum thought was just severe hay fever turned out to be an aggressive cancer 💔
Before he was diagnosed, Jake's mum Lynsey was giving him antihistamines before school because he had a stuffy nose and watery eyes.
She put his sheer exhaustion down to the warm summer weather and the end of the school term.
But when a swelling appeared across the bridge of his nose, an X-ray at Salisbury District Hospital revealed a mass in his nasal cavity.
Jake was diagnosed with stage 3 fusion-positive alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer, in July 2023.
He went through nine rounds of chemotherapy and 28 sessions of proton beam radiotherapy in London, but the cancer still spread to his lymph nodes.
When further chemotherapy caused severe seizures that placed him in intensive care, Jake made the brave decision to stop his treatment entirely.
Lynsey said he was incredibly calm about it, simply telling her, "We tried our best."
He even managed to joke that at least he wouldn't have to deal with the cost-of-living crisis.
Jake passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2024.
Before he died, he gave strict instructions for his own funeral, asking for a blue coffin and for 'Here Comes The Sun' by the Beatles to be played 💙
His final wish to his mum was that he wanted to be well-known and not forgotten.
Lynsey is now honouring that promise by joining forces with a children's cancer charity and studying radiotherapy at the University of Liverpool.
RIP Jake, you won't be forgotten 🕊️

The "Unburnt Bookshelf" has appeared in Central Park, featuring charred books that survived the Russian strike on the "Ranok" publishing house warehouse.

See that hole in an apartment building in Kharkiv? Before this morning, that was someone's apartment. 4 of them were destroyed. 4 families were sleeping there when a Russian drone decided to kill them this morning.
I'm old enough to remember when humanity used to consider such acts terrorism.

Urgent:
Iranian kickboxer is going to be hanged very soon after supreme court ruling!
I beg everyone: listen to his brother’s voice in this video and help us stop the Islamic Republic from executing him.
Benyamin Naghdi, is only 26-year-old, and he is a champion from Shiraz.
His brother says Benyamin wanted only one thing: a free Iran. He also says that for every person the Islamic Republic kills, others will rise to continue their path.
The regime wants these voices to disappear. It wants to silence Benyamin forever.
Please be his voice. Be his family’s voice. Before it’s too late.
Call your leaders to demand Islamic Republic to stop killing him.

While the world watches the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran hanged a 19-year-old boy today.
His name is Erfan Esfandiari and he was his parents' only child.
He did not kill anyone. He did not carry a weapon. His crime, according to the Islamic Republic, was opening a door. Sheltering protesters who were running from security forces. That was enough to send him to the gallows.
Erfan was one of 12 young men in the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan, arrested during the January 2026 uprising. Yesterday, all 12 were moved to quarantine. Today, the Islamic Republic hanged him.
This is a government that is so terrified of a generation that refuses to be silent, that it executes teenagers for the act of compassion.
Say his name. Because the regime is already trying to erase him. Because his mother and father are left with nothing, not even the right to grieve loudly.

As the NHS enters, today, its 79th year, how I wish I wasn’t filled with foreboding.
I believe - & always will - that the NHS is one of the most beautiful expressions of British decency this country possesses. Its basic underlying principle - that we, as a society, resolve to come together to ensure that each of us receives health care we need, irrespective of ability to pay - is pure, radical altruism.
But today’s reality is bleak. Hospital trusts are now so overwhelmed with patients that running out of hospital beds is the least of it. We don’t have enough corridors in which to put the patients. We don’t even have enough trolleys.
Imagine, for a moment, being a patient with terminal cancer with so much fluid in your belly you need about 6 or 8 litres drained away. But you can’t have the drain that would relieve your agony. Why? Because you can’t lie flat. Why? Because you’re sitting a hard plastic chair - & you’ve been there for 48 hours, waiting in vain for something to lie on. This is pain caused not by cancer per se - but by the NHS being so overwhelmed it can’t even procure you a trolley. Avoidable agony - the very worst kind.
Yet I see the Dept of Health is crowing today about "a major rollout of new AI tools to cut waiting lists” - as if spending billions on unproven AI is a panacea because, hey, who needs doctors & nurses when we have computers?
Can I please - and forgive the crude language – just call out this bullshit for what it is?
The government knows full well that its refusal to address the crisis in social care is one of the key reasons for hospital overcrowding. So too is the deliberate running down of general practice, meaning patients have nowhere else to go but A&E. So too is the substitution of highly trained staff with cheaper alternatives - pretending this the deliberate dilution of expertise is ‘efficiency’.
I could go on.
But, like everyone in the NHS, I am so utterly, soul-crushingly weary of weapons’ grade political dishonesty about the NHS. Spin, faux jauntiness & blind faith in big tech - all while frontline staff like me look the patients in the eyes as they suffer & suffer & suffer.

Catching up on the Maternity saga.
And found it incredibly painful & triggering
In a nutshell?
That is what the #NHS is now about.
Leadership cliques protecting each other.
Ignoring of lived experience
And performative hand wringing -when all are involved -in some capacity or the other.
It's also why nothing will change.
Especially if there is no desire to tackle the 'normal birth' ideology - whatever the cost.
I say so as someone who has faced this personally.
And a country which can't guarantee safe baby births? Doesn't provide good healthcare.
