Steve Bannon did say that it “will be easy to remove democracy from New Zealand”. There is a plan afoot.

Hard to find the actual voting area in our community centre. I pointed this out so they moved one sign. Hopeless. Hope it doesn’t put people off.

Deliberate voter suppression!
Ancillary to gerrymandering!
Where are all the polling booths that used to be in Wgtn CBD where 1000's work & live?
Are we going to be excluded because the short hrs/poor access/long queues like the US?
Outrageous!

This guy promised GPs he would increase their funding last election. The day after he won, he walked it back and they told GPs to increase fes instead.
What he means now though is that they want more corporate GPs which charge $99 for a phone call.

the government's argument for closing enrolment early was to reduce the number of special votes which they claimed was delaying the official vote count.
This was a lie.
The official count will be released on 27 Nov, that's 20 days after Election day, just as it was in 2023.

Hipkins wasnt the one who changed the law on enrolments on the false argument that it would mean fewer special votes delaying the official vote count and allow an earlier declaration of the final count.

The latest population survey, released by Indonesia’s Ministry of Forestry in July 2026, estimates that only 716 Tapanuli orangutans (Pongo tapanuliensis) remain in the wild. They are the world's rarest great ape.
The situation is especially precarious because Tapanuli orangutans reproduce slowly and survive in three isolated populations.
Studies indicate that sustained additional population losses exceeding just 1% annually will result in extinction.
