Rubyists: there are 0 good reasons to pin version specifiers in your Gemfile. Let's all agree to unilaterally disarm and stop adding them. Trust the lockfile.
Pinning versions and ranges should be limited to cases where you know an upgraded version of the gem would break things.

Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists.
