To Tegaru with opposing views: Let's stop trolling each other and making the gap harder to bridge. What's the point? At the end of the day, we all want what's best for Tigray, no matter how misguided we think the other side is. Let's find some empathy. Trolling achieves nothing.

Not so bizarre, given what we have witnessed over the past six years. Tigray and Ethiopia have been a playground for technological and political experimentation by all manner of actors and forces for nearly a decade now.
This is very bizarre and extremely worrying

30 days after capturing Mekelle, budget and fuel restrictions remain. Despite the PR stunts, #Ethiopia’s gov't believes drones and economic chokehold are their winning streak. Why change tactics when a powerful country spins it as transitioning #Tigray into a democracy?

Gebru was describing a historical fact. I fail to see why the validity of that assessment should change because of your particular view of the TPLF, or even its supposed β€œstrategic failure”, that tired phrase perpetually on the tongues of Tigray’s elites, yet rarely accompanied by a serious explanation of what it actually means. If you are serious about locating the sources of Tigray’s national vulnerability, you might begin by examining your own place among the considerable ranks of Tigrayan elites and intellectuals who failed to take Gebru seriously on the historical foundations of Tigrayan nationalism. Worse, you imagined that separating party from state in a postrevolutionary society, where the party had been constitutive of both the state and the nationalism, would be as simple as brushing a stain from one’s teeth. The TPLF certainly has its share of historical responsibility to bear. But you lot, armed with your supposedly superior strategic foresight, were convinced that you could socially reengineer Tigray by cleansing it of the TPLF while somehow preserving the nationalism whose modern political foundations were inseparable from that revolutionary history. Well, look where we are. We have arrived at a peculiar historical conjuncture in which the revolution’s greatest beneficiaries are now devouring the revolution itself. And what is emerging from its ruins is hardly liberal emancipation. To borrow from Walter Benjamin, the failure of revolution prepares the ground for fascistic politics, almost always. That is precisely the political temptation with which you are now flirting, while dressing it in the respectable, and by now excruciatingly tedious, language of liberalism.
The TPLF Paradox, when National Liberation Becomes National Vulnerability I do not dispute Gebru Tareke’s recognition of the TPLF’s historical role in consolidating modern Tigrayan nationalism. What I challenge is the intellectual dishonesty of converting that historical contribution into a perpetual claim to political legitimacy while disregarding the party’s subsequent failures. Gebru wrote in 2009, when the TPLF commanded formidable political and military power. Seventeen years later, amid devastating war, institutional fragmentation, and existential threats to Tigray’s political agency, the fundamental question is whether the TPLF’s strategic failures have plunged the very nationalism it once consolidated into a profound crisis. The historical consolidation of national consciousness cannot obscure the subsequent erosion of the institutional capacity, political autonomy, and collective agency necessary to sustain it. Would Gebru reach the same assessment today? I doubt it. Elevating a historically situated scholarly assessment into an eternal justification for political dominance defying the current reality is not a well thought out analysis.

Replying to @GetachewAssefa_
@GetachewAssefa_ is telling Tigraians to drop the gun and keep trying peace "again and again". Read the whole thing and you won't find a single word for Abiy, the man ACTUALLY dropping the bombs. Funny how that works. What he wants us to give up goes far beyond any arms. It is our name, identity, way of life and our existence as a NATION, the very things Abiy's drones can't get. Those have to be talked out of us. πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ That sells best coming from a Tigraian. Getachew knows exactly what he is doing. Tigrai definitely needs peace more than anyone. It most certainly won’t pay for it with its own existence though. #Tigray

The Abiy regime's drone strikes keep massacring the Tigrayan people. Today in Rama, drone strike killed more than 10 people, and wounded about 20 more. This is just one of the latest strikes. Massacring by drone strike has become a daily reality.

Local residents in Arsi where mass killings happened a few days ago are saying anyone in the area who picked up and buried Christians killed a few days ago, wore mourning clothes, or was a relative of the deceased is being hunted down and arrested by Ethiopian government forces.
Local residents in Arsi where mass killings happened a few days ago are saying anyone in the area who picked up and buried citizens killed a few days ago, wore mourning clothes, or was a relative of the deceased is being hunted down and arrested. Residents say the number of people arrested by local officials, accused of being 'collaborators with the enemy' and 'leaking information,' has now exceeded 100. Addis Standard confirmed this today and published news on it, mentioning that the number of detainees is over 50: It is now becoming crystal clear who is behind the killings?

OPDO doesn’t want to govern Tigray let alone Improve it? In fact they don’t even want governable Tigray. Once they accomplished their objectives they leave a broken-chaotic Tigray behind. They have made this abundantly clear. The video below is just one in a long list evidences

They are literally helping him strip the region bare. Disgusting people!
Sellout TPF supporters have literally sold their souls to the devil. What's even more infuriating is that they will disappear from the public eye once the devastating consequences of aligning with that devil Abiy Ahmed come to light. #AbiyMustGo

Abiye’s OPDO is consolidating power, reshaping Ethiopia in its own image, & cementing its legacy, Getachew’s TPF is dismantling Tigray’s political elite, eroding its influence, & accelerating its political irrelevance. One is building an empire; the other is destroying its own

The malnutrition rate in Yechila for pregnant and lactating women is 89%. More than one in every five children under five there are acutely malnourished. People have to walk five hours for water. Stop bombing #Tigray.
Evidence of ENDF Willfully Targeting Tigray Civilians Video from Yechila, Central #Tigray, shows the aftermath of a drone strike that destroyed a warehouse belonging to a fishery association. This is a commercial facility and stood in a territory already controlled by the #ENDF.

The Derg’s Red Terror taught us where this dangerous logic leads: label people as enemies, then justify their persecution. Those promoting these measures bear responsibility. Threatening #Tigray|ans for their political beliefs is genocidal. 1/2

The TPF spokesperson says every "cadre" in Tigrai must report to the police station in their woreda. Those who don't will be considered ENEMY COMBATANTS and dealt with accordingly. Nobody has defined a β€œcadre” and nobody will, because the word is meant to fit anyone. Support the TDF and you are a cadre. Hold a certain political view and you are a cadre. What they are really announcing is that having an opinion in Tigrai is now enough to make you a target in a war. This is how a people get marked.
