And right now our defence minister Helen McEntee is concerned with one war in particular: the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
McEntee says Irish troops should be deployed to Lebanon as part of a new EU mission involved with not only peacekeeping โ but peace enforcement.
Peace enforcement includes joining โcoalitions of the willingโ and fighting wars of aggression like the 20-year Afghanistan war, and the wars in Iraq, which claimed the lives of well over a million people.
If we consider the ideals the state was founded on, it is clear that Irish soldiers should never be involved in these kinds of missions.

In reality, the Saudi Clown Prince decided to align Saudi with โIsraelโ years ago.
