This cannot be stressed enough. The State Pension is not ‘welfare’. It is, as Mark says, based on a contract and people paying in accordingly. And far from being ‘unaffordable’ the National Insurance Fund had a surplus of nearly £80bn last year. Something that the ‘axe the Triple Lock’ brigade never mention.

Just remember, all of the MPs calling for state pension reform, won't ever have to rely on a state pension

🚨Yesterday, people at 40+ hospitals across England said: no Palantir in the NHS.
Palantir works with the Israeli military and ICE, and holds a £330m contract for NHS patient data.
It can be scrapped within weeks. Share this and tell the government: back the break clause.

So what have we got so far..
We have a PM quite prepared to use emotion to try and gather support from the pensioners to cut their pensions.
A PM who is excellent at making bluster speeches without detail.
Crucially the media has fallen for it.
We have an uphill battle ahead.

I refuse to vote for a single person who has ever voted in favor of sending anything to Israel.
I don’t give a shit what the reason was.

The hypocrisy of this man who is now lobbying for Palantir — the vile US outfit supplying Israel with artificial intelligence and data software for its genocide in Gaza - is off the scale.

We MUST remove Palantir from all government roles.
In full and permanently.

NHS England has said that you cannot opt out of Palantir having your medical data and they refuse to review their policy.
So if you live in England, Palantir, Donald Trump, Netanyahu and co have access to all your medical data.
Nobody voted for this.

Nothing is stopping them.
They're playing a game. They're "controlled opposition".
It's all a charade.
Thomas Massie has threatened five different times to realest the hidden names in the #EpsteinFiles.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has done the same.
But it never gets done, and the American are disappointed in both of them. What is stopping them?

England water industry was privatized for £7.6bn in 1989. Since then
They have extracted £88.4bn in dividends.
Dumped tons of sewage in rivers.
Lost 1 trillion litres of water a year though leaks.
Built no new reservoirs
But now claim to be worth £144bn.

It is time that we protest (peacefully) against the disgusting corruption in the water industry. We are literally being held to ransom.
Sewage dumped in rivers.
Shareholders creaming of £billions.
Lack of new reservoirs.
This cannot be allowed to go on.

Water is not a commodity. It is a birthright. It belongs to the earth, to other species, and to future generations. No corporation has the right to control it.

People will act like this material doesn’t work, but there is nothing high tech or unproven about this.
We have had the capacity to scale bioplastics for decades. We just use petroplastics because oil corporations control governments.

A magnificent example of manufactured narrative.
If Starmer was so devoid of vision, why is Andy Burnham recycling each of his policies?
Why are MPs announcing those policies avoiding saying “when” they were introduced, thus making them appear as “new” and Burnham’s?
Why have so many members of the Cabinet blocked comments when they post about those policies?
There’s reality and there’s narratives. The whole Burnham’s affair has been built on narratives.
The country has been transformed into a 70 million people Truman Show.
🚨 A remarkable intervention from Sue Gray who saw Starmer’s No 10 from the inside and her verdict is pretty devastating:
“You have to set your vision, your agenda.”
And on @andyburnham:
“He’s come in with a very clear view of what he wants to do.”
That was Starmer’s fundamental failure. Government became an exercise in management and communications without a compelling explanation of what all the management was actually for.
Burnham has a clear vision on
🏭 Reindustrialisation
💧 Water
⚡ Energy
🚌 Public transport
🏠 Housing
🧑⚕️ Social care
📈 Investment and growth
🏙️ Devolution and shifting power out of Whitehall
These increasingly look less like a collection of announcements and more like the beginnings of a political and economic vision.
Having a vision is stage one. Being prepared to confront the institutions, vested interests and failed orthodoxies standing in its way is stage two.
And will Burnham confront the biggest contradiction of all:
🇪🇺 You cannot rebuild Britain’s productive economy while maintaining unnecessary barriers with our biggest, richest and nearest market.
The difference from Starmer is already striking. Now we find out whether Andy is made of 🍫 or 🔩.
