To every ADA holder: decentralization is not something the protocol does for you. It is where you put your stake. Today twelve owners together hold a third of all staked ADA. Thirty-seven hold half. And stake barely moves: of the ADA that was staked a year ago and still is, 88 percent sits with the same pool today. Governance shows the same picture. Cardano has 294 active DReps. Twenty of them together carry the two thirds needed to pass a treasury withdrawal, and sixteen of those twenty run a stake pool. Five together can block one. In all, 120 of the 294 are linked to a stake pool, and they hold 80 percent of all DRep voting power. That clears every threshold a DRep vote has, without a single vote from a DRep who does not run a pool. Fourteen of them belong to the thirty-seven owners who hold half of all stake. Those fourteen alone hold 38 percent of the DRep vote, enough to block any treasury withdrawal. Those numbers only change if holders change them. Nobody else can. Your ADA carries two votes. The pool you delegate to votes as an SPO on hard forks, the committee and security parameters, with your stake behind it. Your vote delegation goes to a DRep. Both are your choice, and today the same large owners weigh heavily in both. There are 627 pools run by a single operator, one person or one team with one pool, with room under the saturation point, that answer on their relays. They are listed here, with their stake and their blocks, and you can delegate from the list: smitblockchainops.nl/#pools Ask yourself one question: how many pools does the operator of my pool run? If the answer is more than one, your ADA is adding weight where there is already plenty. Move it to a single pool operator. Yes, a pool with little stake pays its delegators somewhat less than a large one. That is temporary. As the pool fills up, your rewards rise with it. The network gets what it was designed for: many independent operators instead of a few large ones. Then choose your DRep the same way. Pick one who does not already hold a large share, and who explains their votes. And do check that the DRep shares your views. They are listed here, with how many of their votes came with an explanation: smitblockchainops.nl/#dreps Figures: Cardano chain, epoch 663, measured on our own decoder and db-sync. #cardano #cardanocommunity #ADA @Cardano_CF @Cardano @IntersectMBO #Drep #SPO $ADA #Governance @IOHK_Charles @Cerkoryn @JaromirTesar @GrahamsNoPlus1 @DenicioBernier

1/10 After years of work on Genius Yield, I am sad to see its operations winding down, and I am sorry that users have been left worried about accessing their assets. My immediate priority is to help you withdraw from staking vaults and claim your available rewards.

Proud to share that we've completed onboarding for the 2026 Catalyst pilot. @Catalyst_onX has evolved and we're really excited about its new direction. There's a stronger emphasis on execution, accountability and putting real products into the hands of users. It's exactly the evolution Cardano needs. We're thrilled to be building at the intersection of decentralized identity, privacy and real-world adoption. We believe the opportunity is enormous and will demonstrate what Cardano can deliver outside of the crypto bubble. Very excited for the road ahead and to participate in a new and improved Catalyst program. Let's go Cardano!

AI on Chain! The overall winner of the @TOKEN2049 Origins Hackathon came out of the Cardano track. All 5 winning projects are built on or integrated with @MasumiNetwork: escrow, payments and identity for AI agents. Congrats to the teams. 👏
The winners of the @TOKEN2049 Origins Hackathon are in, and... The overall winner came out of the Cardano track. Teams built agents that pay, get paid, and prove their work, on rails like x402 and Masumi. Here are the winners. 🧵

For community awareness, new operator and a new ticker don't mean a new owner. The existing pool IDs remain the same, the delegations don't have to move, and operational control can simply be transferred by providing Shunsuke with the existing cold private keys. That's pretty much it. Unless the ownership of the pools has actually changed, which nobody outside the parties involved could independently prove anyway, since there is no way to know whether copies of those keys are still retained, changing the operator or ticker doesn't change who owns the underlying pools. And that's what makes the whole announcement a little confusing to me. Why make such a big statement about “transferring” the pools when, technically, what appears to have happened is that the existing cold keys were copied and provided to a new operator? The delegations don't need to move precisely for that reason. And of course, the decision to do this instead of having Shunsuke create his own stake pools and transferring the delegations EMURGO actually controls to those new pools tells us something too.🤨😮‍💨 Hopefully those keys, nor their encrypted versions, were ever exposed through an insecure or hot environment during the "transfer". 🤞

Nothing is worse than opening a business networking app in a crowded venue and having it take ages to load. You're mid-conversation, swapping details, and your app still won't load. @ChatSoonApp is super fast, and the native mobile apps work offline. Ready for #Token2049

Cardano treasury reform is where governance gets uncomfortable. Roundtable #39 covered the 2027 NCL cycle, domain funding, accountability and measurable outcomes. I care less about nice proposal decks and more about proof after the ADA leaves the treasury. What proof would make you vote yes with more confidence?

Time to vote for the Intersect board position. I believe Intersect has made meaningful improvements over recent years, at least in part thanks to the oversight and guidance of our community-elected board members (@AdamRusch and @OfficialKavinda are both running for reelection). There are many good candidates, I urge you to get to know them and cast your vote one way or another.
Intersect Board elections 2026 🗳️ The final countdown! Just 48 hours remain before voting closes for the Intersect Board elections on Friday, September 25 at 12PM UTC. Verified Individual and Enterprise Members, cast your votes in the Members Area. members.intersectmbo.org

DRep delegation is not a set-and-forget thing. Too much voting power around the same familiar names is not healthy for Cardano governance. If you have not reviewed yours lately, use my DRep matcher on Learn Cardano. It helps you find active DReps that better match your views. Decentralisation is user behaviour too.

I went into @draper_u thinking I was refining a Cardano startup idea. I came out thinking very differently about how I build companies. For four weeks in Silicon Valley, the Genesis program forced me to question market size, customer validation, fundraising, go-to-market, trust, security, and whether what I was building was actually a business. The original idea was a Web3 bounty platform. That eventually led me somewhere much more interesting: programmable escrow and stablecoin payment infrastructure. In this video, I go through the full experience, including pitching @TimDraper, getting the pitch wrong before getting it right, learning to validate before building, and how those lessons are now shaping @MoshiConcepts and Hokan. A huge thank you to everyone who shared their time and experience throughout the program: @draper_u @TimDraper @aalicbarker @AsraNadeem @TechRebelWorld @sfjmorris @Andytang @joevezz @lorenzoxbt @rodventures @1stNoL @c00v @LuchangArcanum And also David Bland, George Northup, Azan Haider, Tessalou Velera @OrionFund @Cometa_Labs and @samizb This one packs a lot of lessons. Chapters: 0:00 Intro 1:23 The Genesis programme 2:16 Building something isn't enough 4:22 The first pitches 5:54 Talking to real customers 7:25 The idea starts changing 8:40 Pitch practice and getting it wrong 10:53 Pitching in front of Tim Draper 12:32 The question from Tim Draper 14:10 Catalyst, grants and automation 15:37 Trust is the real product 17:01 After the pitch, the programme changed 18:27 Go to market 19:32 Blockchain should become boring 21:10 Not everything needs a token 22:09 Networking was probably my weakest area 23:36 The people were a massive part of it 24:40 The Cardano community came to Draper 25:35 The final week 27:14 Resilience 28:19 Stablecoins and payments kept coming back 29:11 The final days 29:57 What actually changed for me 31:07 What I'm building now 32:15 Conclusion The biggest lesson? Being able to build something doesn't mean it's the right thing to build. Validate. Listen. Adjust. Then keep building. 👊

Great to hear this. If you are elected and can make some progress on investigating what has caused so many members to leave and not renew their membership, then we may consider rejoining. It is great to have someone willing to address the problems Intersect has. For some reason neither @AdamRusch nor @OfficialKavinda have attempted to do this during their previous terms, so I hope remaining members take that into consideration when voting. Good luck mate.

I've been quiet these past few months, driven by an unwavering determination to build verifiable finance.  Today, I'm proud to launch Lemma Ventures (@lemma_ventures ) 🎉, my new company based in Zug, Switzerland, in the heart of the Crypto Valley 🌄. For the past decade, I've led protocol design and large-scale deployments of public blockchains, managing engineering teams of hundreds and releasing amazing products for our ecosystems. But now I want to address the trust crisis we are in, with what we saw first-hand with Lehman Brothers, FTX, and others. It's imperative that people and institutions keep tight control over their assets, data and processes in a world where finance becomes more automated and digitalized every day. Lemma Ventures aims to restore trust between people and institutions by enabling provability, replayability, and attestability of financial processes, while guaranteeing we are protected from the quantum computing threat. Tomorrow, September 1st, we release our first open-source contribution to agentic compliance. I'm excited to build this with you and secure our stacks before they become unmanageable for regulated and critical systems. Visit us at lemma.ventures. My line is always open 🫶 cc @CV_Labs
