Made a little video for @BuildingWaves to say thanks for the motivation.
He told me he just uses his iPhone camera — and still built a successful YouTube channel.
That honestly removed a lot of excuses from my head.
Now I’m thinking about starting one too.
Worth it?

THIS GUY BUILT A 10K/MRR VOICE TYPING APP BECAUSE HIS DAD TYPES TOO SLOW
watched his workaholic dad struggle to type 15 words per minute and realized native dictation couldn't handle his accent
so he built Voicy - a chrome extension that drops a microphone into every input field on every website
ChatGPT's dictation was insanely accurate but only worked in ChatGPT, so he just made it work everywhere
launched on chrome web store with zero marketing budget and immediately got users because the store itself pushes well-optimized listings
then some psycho hacker found his API and spammed it 24/7 running up a massive AI bill
he stayed awake for 3 days straight blocking new IPs while this guy kept attacking him
most founders would've built this for devs and productivity nerds but he actually talks to his users
realized seniors and people with disabilities needed this way more than anyone else
now he's spoken to hundreds of seniors and completely pivoted his positioning
runs this whole thing while working a full-time 9-6 job
wakes up at 8, works all day, hits the gym at 3, grinds on Voicy from 6-9pm, plays football until 11, in bed by midnight
doing 10.7K/month at 85% margins with zero startup cost
doesn't even set revenue goals — just wants to wake up excited every day
the revenue is just proof people actually like what he built

Yesterday I had an a-ha moment. Claude suggested a product to me out of the blue. I didn’t ask for it. I wasn’t searching for it. But it thought it made sense for what I was doing so it recommended I give it a try.
We all talk about AI search but from a marketing perspective this made me realize how these tools can do much more than just fulfill existing demand. They can also let unaware people discover your product right when they need it.

Arnika Dabbagh was only 15 years old.
A swimming champion from Gorgan, she was shot in the heart and murdered by the Islamic Republic’s security forces on January 9 in the #IranMassacre.
A child who should have had a bright future - and who wanted that same future for every child in Iran.
This is a child-killing regime that wages war on its own people - and expects families to stay silent.

He had already lost his father, and became the sole provider for his mother and two younger sisters.
Mohammad Reza Avazpour was only 19, an Iranian hero from Romeshkan, Lorestan.
During Iran’s protests, the regime’s mercenaries shot him dead in Tehran in the #IranMassacre.
Now his family has lost both their son and their breadwinner, forced to grieve while struggling to survive.
He was just a shop apprentice. A teenager trying to hold his family together.
Like tens of thousands of Iranians, he was murdered for demanding a future with dignity.

Testimony from Iran: “[On Friday,] 3 elderly ladies were marching on the frontline of the rally. My friend and I asked them to switch places with us [to be safer]. One of them responded, ‘You are young. It would be a waste if you die. Let us, who are old, take the bullets.’”

The time for feel-good posts about brave protestors throwing off their hijabs in Iran seems long over.
We appear to be in the “mass murder of civilians” phase of this revolution.
Iran is ruled by psychopathic theocrats.
I am not egging anyone on from the sunshine and safety of California. This is life and death struggle in the streets.
But to those brave souls who know the risks and STILL return to the streets: I am in awe of your courage amidst your staggering losses.
I can’t imagine what you are going through. Yet it is the inspiration of the world to all those everywhere who are still awake and alive.
May the great powers outside your borders be inspired to use their tools and levers to help you in your bid to throw off your own murderous tyrants.
Humanity First. Good luck.
