I was also a good trial lawyer and the bar exam was of zero relevance or value to my trial work...the jury did not give me a multiple guess test and tell me to go into a room and not consult anyone or read a book and come out w/ the answer.:)

I think the Bar exam is ridiculous-doesn’t measure whether you will be competent lawyer but instead determines whether you are a good test taker (which has zero to do w/ being a good lawyer)

I hate to see young people ripped off and that is what the bar exam is - a rip off. It costs a fortune for the bar course (after they pay a fortune for law school) and to take the exam and it has nothing to do w/ actually being a lawyer. #Scam

The legal community is ignoring our calls for diploma privilege. Where are applicants supposed to study if they are displaced from their homes due to wildfires?

At the very least, shouldn't Supreme Courts give diploma privilege to in-state law grads? How can you allow people to graduate from a law school in your state, then tell them they haven't shown minimal competence? Shouldn't this be true any year, but especially 2020 given COVID?
