These people are fucking fascists. Determined to grind any migrant under the state's boot
If you thought the PM’s speech was punchy, his foreword to the immigration white paper says high net migration has done “incalculable damage” to the country. That is a serious shift in tone for a Labour government/party.

Sorry, this is completely reprehensible! They've reacted to reform and decided to just resurrect Enoch Powel
'We risk becoming an island of strangers, not a nation that walks forward together.' Sir Keir Starmer announces measures which he says will help control the number of immigrants coming into the country to live and work.

Why are some on the left joining the right in dumping "woke"? Full video linked in the QT
NEW VIDEO: Woke is Dead; Long Live Woke In this video I challenge the emerging perspective from prominent left figures that "the death of woke" is a good thing. I describe their promise of universalism as being necessarily exclusionary and liberal youtu.be/F7oZwH6oo0A

New article! A critical defence of the crime of ecocide, by Rachel Killean & @DamienShort -> Criminalisation should complement, rather than replace, broader legal and political strategies for environmental protection and justice. doi.org/10.1080/09644016.202…

Meet the seven brilliant student-scholars disappeared off the streets of the US by the Trump Administration for criticizing Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. Four are being held in brutal for-profit ICE detention centers in Louisiana. None are charged with a crime. Free them now. ⤵️

I did not stand on a manifesto which said we were going to make the NHS crisis worse. Neither did any other Labour MP. This is only possible now because our leaders have stirred up a war frenzy, and all we cherish is being cut. thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/a…

Fiona Bruce jokes when Richard Tice keeps interrupting that she might have to put a gag on him. How about we stop having Reform on every single TV and radio show possible and constantly giving them a platform? It's so obviously disproportionate. And it's constant. #BBCQT

Yep. The UK taxpayer pays £9 billion so the US gets continued access to a pacific air base for 99 years. BIG WIN FOR BRITAIN!
Breaking: Donald Trump tells @Telegraph in the Oval Office he is minded to sign off the Chagos Islands deal. Big win for Starmer.

I want to make one thing clear. I left @BBCNews last year after covering Gaza for months because I could see evidence accumulating into the robust conclusion that Israel has been committing war crimes & crimes against humanity. 1/4

Shameful. Labour talk about difficult decisions and tough choices. The choice this time? To cut the foreign aid budget. Why are the 'difficult choices' never taxing the wealth of the super rich?

Israel's hostage taking has reached new levels of inhumanity. And its Western backers (US. UK, Germany, France etc.) are increasingly complicit in this crime against humanity. Time to tell our leaders: You too are war criminals by association theguardian.com/global-devel…

The government has announced it will pay for more weapons and bombs by cutting support for the world's poorest people. A deplorable decision that will only create a more unstable and unequal world. What is the government doing to bring about peace?

A defenceless little boy, shot by the Israeli army for no reason in the West Bank. They then ensured his death by obstructing the ambulance. The lack of outrage, of any emotional outpouring, over the slaughter of Palestinian children is repulsive, vile racism.
10 year old Saddam Rajab was on the phone to his mum while he walked down the street in the occupied West Bank when the IDF shot him. Israeli soldiers then obstructed the ambulance trying to take the boy to hospital. He subsequently died. Diana Magnay reporting.

This is depraved. The US government has just announced they will be punishing anyone involved in Cuba’s famous overseas medical missions, including government officials in foreign countries whose people have benefited from Cuban medical assistance.

Utterly shameful - a sickening betrayal of some of the poorest people. And deeply counterproductive too - as if global security isn’t also dependent on efforts to tackle the climate crisis, global poverty, inequality, and humanitarian needs.
🚨 BREAKING: Keir Starmer announces he is cutting the UK's foreign aid budget from 0.5% of GNI to 0.3% to increase defence spending "That is not an announcement I am happy to make"

For the first time in over 20 years, Israel has deployed tanks in the West Bank, after expelling 40,000 Palestinians from refugee camps. This is a prelude to full annexation, and makes a mockery of the ceasefire agreement that Israel continues to violate. We are witnessing ethnic cleansing — and our government’s ongoing failure to defend international law is utterly, utterly shameful. Palestinians are human beings who deserve self-determination. That is why we will continue to demand economic sanctions, a full arms embargo, and the only path to peace: an end to the occupation of Palestine.
