Last week, Israeli forces detained our parliamentary delegation and barred us from the illegally occupied West Bank. The message was clear: the world must not see what is happening here. The violence we went to investigate is Israeli state policy. That’s why Britain must sanction the Israeli state, not just its settlers. The impetus to take firmer, faster action is clear. Israel is trying to cut off the Palestinian people from the rest of the world. But we must use all the tools in our power to force it to change course. The UK does not have a welfare crisis. It does, instead, have politicians who want to scapegoat the most vulnerable people in our society. Unscrupulous neoliberal politicians and commentators are our problem. Those in need are not. youtu.be/C89jDlwF1vs?si=LMYt…

Election prediction: Putting checks on Trump’s criminal abuse of power (domestically and internationally) is important. But don’t be fooled into thinking the Democrats will save us from the Republicans. Both parties belong to the same donors, corporations, lobbies, and oligarchs. They do not represent you. Regardless of the outcome of the midterms, you lose, and the corporations, bankers, billionaires, Israel regime lobbyists, merchants of war, and tech lords win. Trump, Thune, Johnson, Clinton, Schumer, and Jeffries - and US media corporations- are all paid servants of the same dark forces. As long as this system is in place, the downward spiral will continue. And no election will change this.

Calling strikes on a country that didn’t attack you—in a war you illegally started—“defensive” is pure Orwellian doublespeak. Repeating this language is propaganda, not journalism.

I'm a doctor in the UK with Palestinian family. I spoke out against genocide and jewish supremacy. My medical licence was suspended. Dr Eastland Staveley, a jewish GP, said he didn't shoot enough babies in Gaza. He is practising medicine freely in Britain. They proved my point.

What's interesting about the Michigan Senate race is that Republicans are attacking Democrat Abdul El-Sayed for supporting universal healthcare, claiming America simply cannot afford it. El-Sayed argues that universal healthcare is affordable if you stop allowing corporate profits to take priority over patient care. Meanwhile, here in the UK, successive Conservative and Labour governments have continued outsourcing NHS services to private providers, which now account for roughly 7–10% of NHS spending, depending on how it's measured. On 13 April 2026, the Centre for Health and the Public Interest published research estimating that private companies made £1.6 billion in profits from NHS contracts over just two years. That's approximately £800 million a year in profits that could potentially be redirected towards frontline healthcare if services were brought back in-house. Why should taxpayers continue funding private profits when that money could be spent treating patients, employing doctors and nurses, and reducing waiting lists?

BREAKING: Just as a glimmer of hope emerges between the US and Iran, someone starts bombing Iranian radar sites. I suspect Israel. I posted a few days ago that a glimmer of hope had emerged in the US-Iran talks mediated by Qatar. Over the past few days, progress has increased to the point that sources and officials on all sides have privately expressed a degree of optimism, and both JD Vance and Trump himself did so publicly just a few hours ago. Then, suddenly, things started to blow up on the Iranian island of Qeshm, as well as near the cities of Bandar Abbas and Ahvaz in southern Iran. The Iranians tell me that they are certain the attacks were conducted by Israel, and not the US. A senior US source tells me it wasn’t the American side. I posted last weekend that Israel had breached Iranian airspace. Tehran, however, opted not to respond, suspecting that Israel wanted to goad Iran into a trap by responding harshly, as that could help Netanyahu in the elections and force Trump’s hand in terms of turning to war. It would be completely in line with a decades-long pattern of Israeli sabotage of US-Iran diplomacy that Netanyahu would begin kinetic action on the eve of a potential breakthrough in US-Iran talks - which incidentally appears to include a Chinese dimension - in order to sabotage it. Israel has opposed every US-Iran deal, including Trump’s MOU from this past summer. Read more: tritaparsi.substack.com/p/br…

Trump has deployed US nuclear weapons at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk. There has been no parliamentary scrutiny or debate about this deployment, which would make Britain a target in any nuclear conflict involving the US. Kick out Trump's nukes! Shut down US bases!

To put in perspective the UK's new crackdown on a largely non-existent antisemitism problem in schools, remember that more than 2,000 young British Jews are believed to have headed off to Israel to help its military commit genocide in Gaza. The government has done nothing to stop them going. Meanwhile, British police have been repeatedly handed details of potential war crimes suspects but so far have failed to investigate, arrest or charge any of them. Powell, the UK’s education secretary, has told Sky News: “I don’t think that our schools should be a place where it’s about making protests and statements about geopolitical events around the world.” And yet only a year ago her predecessor, Bridget Phillipson, who set up the Bell review, was filmed in British classrooms with primary schoolchildren waving Ukrainian flags. Despite Powell’s new prohibition, many Jewish pupils will continue to be encouraged by their schools to identify strongly with the foreign state of Israel – a state almost permanently mired, in the worst possible way, in “geopolitical events”. If it is important for British children to identify with and support Ukraine’s white children through their suffering, why is it not possible – why is it antisemitism – for British children to similarly identify with and support the brown children of Gaza as they go through far greater suffering? It is hard to imagine an answer that is not racist to its core. Whatever the government claims, these double standards are not driven by principle. They are not about antisemitism. This is about protecting Israel. Burnham entered office apologising for how his predecessor, Starmer, “got it wrong” at the outset of Israel’s slaughter in Gaza. But his government is now doubling down on what Labour got equally wrong in the years leading up to the genocide – when it dedicated its energies to crushing the section of the party led by Corbyn that was warning of Israel’s deeply racist character and of what it was likely to do to the Palestinians. The gencoide has vindicated Corbyn and the left in the most horrifying manner possible. No matter. As with the current attacks on Zack Polanski of the Greens, none of this is really about antisemitism. It is about Israel. It is about the British establishment and the billionaire class protecting their interests both in the war industries Israel is so central to and in the oil-rich Middle East, where Israel acts as the West’s attack dog. This is about crushing dissent to prop up a crumbling western political order, led by a greedy, belligerent narcissist in the White House, as it is afflicted by collapse on every front: economic, environmental, political and social. Dissatisfaction and unrest are growing. Violence is simmering. Bullying children into saluting the Israeli flag will not halt the decline. It simply underscores how much the “liberal” western order has lost the plot. This is an extract from my latest article A new UK hierarchy of racism will gag Israel critics from Westminster to the playground. Find a link to the rest in the reply post below ⬇️

“Britain bears massive historical responsibility for the situation of the Palestinian people. In 1917, after the Balfour Declaration, it enabled the settler colonial movement of Zionism to begin a project of state building in Palestine.” On the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, revisit this analysis by Ilan Pappé from the Declassified archive. declassifieduk.org/britain-i…

The Genocide in Gaza is entering its final stages, after the 'ceasefire' Palestinians were given 50% of Gaza. That has now been reduced to just 15% and Israel are mass bombing INSIDE that 15%. The silence of many in the West allows this Genocide. They are ALL guilty of it.

On this day, November 2, 1917, the Balfour Declaration was issued—a promise by a power that did not own the land, offering it to those who had no right to claim it, at the expense of a people who lived on that land, cultivated it, and built their dreams and future upon it. 109 years have passed, and Palestinians are still paying the price of that promise—with their land, their homes, their memories, and their children. Palestine continues to bear the wounds of history, from the Nakba to wars and forced displacement, all the way to the displacement tents of Gaza. The Balfour Declaration was not merely a political letter. It was a pivotal moment in the tragedy of a people denied their right to self-determination. We tell this history not to imprison the present in the past, but to understand how we got here, and why the Palestinian right to justice is still awaiting recognition. Palestine is not a promise written in a letter. Palestine is a people, a land, an identity, and a right that does not expire with time. #BalfourDeclaration #Palestine #Nakba #PalestinianRights
