All of the Halo ports and remakes I’m complicit in subjecting you to pale in comparison to the majesty of playing originals via Xbox emulation at 2x resolution, on a 4:3 OLED, at 120fps… on an Android handheld.

The birds of a feather are the flock we made along the way.

And below ā€œI didn’t think about all the kissing they did when I made them siblings laterā€. It is not about whether or not you think the Evil Computer’s Plan was sound, or if you think you could give him a better one. You can give him and his friend your guns/biotics/dialog.

I’m seeing a lot of chatter about revisiting Mass Effect games where people are looking at Lore inconsistencies through the post-wiki fandom lens. Mass Effect’s world is an excuse for your characters and relationships to change shape. It’s cohesion just above say, classic Trek.

Sometimes by ā€œseparate the art from the artistā€, we just mean ā€œthe artist is going to eat junk food while he scripts a hunger system that favors nutritionā€.

One of the best things about indie games is that nobody asked for them. No meeting of people in suits decided your game should exist. You just wanted to make something cool that you love. Never forget that's your biggest strength You're indie. Be weird, be raw, be authentic! ā¤ļø

It would be pretty great to get a USB 3.0 hub that is front angled, and has room to add and remove 4 of your dongles. Funtastic/this color would be a major plus. Nobody makes them. Do what you do, Do.

And some of those gains that have been a windfall in just the last 8 weeks come with harbingers and the cautionary headlines reminding us where its ability to do so is coming from.

The actual productivity gains in experiments to understand it within game engines have been astounding. Its ability to spin up brushfire tools and diagnostics for bug fixes are powerful. Its ability to infer based on its assessment of what your intent was is now viable.

I’ve found myself leaning on the Sarah Conner side of the fence for most of this, and my thoughts on the ethics and safeguards haven’t moved at this stage. Especially involving anything generative. However…

That’s the camera nightmare to mess with next. The cart is your vehicle/trusty steed/sentient basketball hoop. I’ve got a few ideas about incentivizing them to be closer together, and I have some spline cameras that pull out into more of arenas or areas of interest.

Show to show? Absolutely. I think Goosebumps books have a story to story brainworm quality that kind of outlast what Gary, Sardo and the Campfire bring to the table. But my hot take is that Slappy is the weakest link.

^^This was the video I sent our 10 year old to show him he’ll be able to playtest with his twin brothers.
