J.J. Watt says his first reaction to signing a $100 million contract was Googling what rich people buy. “I came home from work that day, and my childhood friend Taylor was hanging out at my house.” “I told him, ‘We did it. We got a deal done.’ He asked what I got, and I said, ‘$100 million.” “We both just looked at each other with the craziest, stupidest grin, thinking this was the most absurd thing ever.” “Then we realized we had absolutely no idea what to do with that much money.” “We literally went to Google and typed in, ‘What do rich people buy?” “We went through lists and lists of yachts, jets, and cars, thinking, ‘I almost have to buy something.” “We kept scrolling and realized, ‘Nah, there’s nothing here I actually need.’ I still haven't bought anything terribly outlandish.”
