Talks of a new Menai bridge, a crossing which carries only 13,000 vehicles a day, talking about a new South Wales M4 relief road, yet they're dithering over a like for like replacement of a bridge which carries 70,000 vehicles per day and is in a very bad state of repair! Why?
Work on the replacement A494 River Dee Bridge is now not expected to start until the end of 2027, after the timetable was changed to give the new Welsh Government time to consider the scheme f.mtr.cool/fhm8bjp3x0
"drilling for North Sea oil and gas will secure UK jobs"
#Jackdaw will secure around 27 full time jobs. Meanwhile the offshore wind industry supports over 40,000 jobs and Hinkley C is supporting 26,000 jobs. None of the pro North Sea arguments stack up.
A pivot away from #Jackdaw will reduce energy bills (which was a lie), to it's more environmentally friendly to pump it domestically wasn't on this year's bing card π

I wonder, when the energy price cap goes up, will the penny drop for #drillbaydrill morons, or will they
a) blame something / someone else
b) just stay silent and pretend they never claimed drilling for North sea oil/gas would reduce bills? #Jackdaw
In terms of art deco buildings in #Chester can anyone think of any good examples? Obviously there's Story House and Nero on Love St, also Tanner's on Christleton Rd. But any others?
Have the plans for a through station been cancelled before they ever got off the ground? The previous St James plan has been canned and they don't even know if it'll be a through station! An absolutely pointless announcement. π€¦
