Police punch Hispanic man already pinned to groundโ22 times.
Officer had already shot him with taser.
"He stiffly hit the ground after being tased, and his head banged on asphalt," said witness.
"Cop mounts him and starts beatingโlater 3 more piled on."
Just because man was standing in the road blocking some traffic.
Witnesses say he looked like he was having a mental episodeโand was not trying to harm anyone.
Emergency crews were called and took the man to the hospital.
Local police confirmed the incident occurred at 3:15 pmโbut released no other details except to say it was "under review."
Incident occurred on Auburn Way near 37th Street NE in Auburn, Washington.

Users are finding that Google's AI chat feature refuses to say who won the 2020 election, but gives an answer for any other election year.

Google has specifically prevented its AI tool from telling users who won the 2020 presidential election, even though it happily tells us that Trump won in 2016 and 2024. This sort of political intervention into LLM responses is deeply problematic. (h/t to Charles Mann)
