Coeliac Disease is under-diagnosed in the UK. It is currently 1% (1 in 100) of the population but Coeliac UK think only 36% are diagnosed!
Eating out with Coealic Disease is challenging. Few eateries cater for Coeliacs. It's time more did.

WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE EVERY Β£1, EVERY RUPEE, GO AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. β€οΈ
Instead of buying expensive dog beds, we turned discarded tyres into strong, washable beds that can be used again and again.
For mothers and newborn babies, we are turning large storage drums into protected little winter dens.
And now, instead of buying ready-made blankets, we bought quick-drying polyester fleece by the roll and had the blankets made locally by hand.
Warm. Easy to wash. Faster to dry β especially important when blankets are washed daily and foggy winter days give us little or no sun.
This is how we are stretching your donations:
buy smarter, reuse more, waste less, and help more animals with every contribution.
But we are nowhere near finished.
Winter is no longer coming.
The cold nights are already here.
We still need many more beds, blankets and winter supplies to make this huge new shelter warm enough.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us get this far. β€οΈ
Please help us keep going β and SHARE this appeal so we can reach new supporters too.

Only weeks old β and already old enough to know fear.
Their mother was killed.
We brought her body with us so she could at least be buried with dignity. We will not show that here.
Her babies are now safe with us. Frightened, confused⦠but alive. We will update you on them soon.
CULLING IS NOT THE ANSWER.
STERILISATION IS.
Killing one mother only leaves terrified babies behind and the cycle continues.
Please SHARE this loudly β especially outside Pakistan. The more international voices that speak up, the harder this cruelty becomes to ignore.
And please support our sterilisation programme so we can fight this with a humane solution, not killing.

Γine wishes to declare that the curtains are moving by themselves. So much entertainment to be had on windy nights!
Photo shows a white cat sitting on the back of a wine coloured armchair in front of curtains of the same colour.
Please support Amir. He desperately needs funds to be able to be able to buy the specialist food he needs to survive. Prices have almost doubled now the crossings have closed.
Please donβt stop supporting us. Gaza is facing the threat of famine once again. π
Food is becoming increasingly scarce, and our families are struggling to find basic necessities like flour, rice, and sugar.
We urgently need your support to buy food and keep our families fed. We are afraid of returning to the days of hunger, and we cannot face this crisis alone.
Please stand with us. Every donation, no matter how small, can help put food on our table. If you cannot donate, please share our fundraiser and help our voices reach more people.

Not on here as much. Had big change to vision so not able to see screen clearly all the time or look at it for long. Thinking of friends in war zones as always, and those who are troubled. Γine is up to usual antics and quietly delighted about reduced phone action. πΉπ»

π I rescued her from the pain, but I had no idea I had left her heart behind.
Two days ago, I found this poor mother cat injured and terrified beside a road in Gaza.
Yesterday, I returned to the same place and found her three tiny babies.
When I brought them to the shelter, the happiness in her eyes was something Iβll never forget.π₯Ήβ€οΈ
She had been through so much, yet all she wanted was her babies back.
Tonight, they are together, surrounded by love and safety.
My dear friends, please help me protect this beautiful reunion. They need food, medicine, and a chance to grow up without suffering.πβ€οΈ

π She was injured, terrified, and afraid of the very hands trying to save her.
I found this poor cat beside a road in Gaza. Children had hurt her, and she had an injury to her leg.
When I approached, she was extremely frightened. I moved slowly and gently, hoping she would understand that I wasnβt there to hurt her.
Eventually, I managed to rescue her and bring her to Salam Shelter.πβ€οΈ
She is safe now, and I will take her to the vet to examine her injured leg.
She has already suffered enough. She deserves to know what kindness feels like.
My dear friends, please help us give her the treatment she needs and continue protecting Gazaβs forgotten animals.πβ€οΈ

Over four years since I first poured myself into the oldest pub debate, and 2+ years after my book came out, the media are finally reporting my findings.
Of all the articles produced so far, this is probably now the closest to accurate...

Been asked a lot about βstockpilingβ and itβs a really unhelpful term. This is about a bit of extra water, food, medication to get you through until responders can provide more help. 72 hours. Itβs not a bunker

For those who haven't heard about this elephant in Sri Lanka, it has been lying collapsed in a flooded paddy field since 21 October.
Vets still don't know whether it has been poisoned or has a blockage caused by plastic. Wildlife officers are staying with it around the clock, with help from 10 soldiers and police.
As of today, there's still no confirmed diagnosis or news of an improvement.

Genocide is still on.
Principled action - from states, companies, institutions and people - is needed to stop it.
Worldwide strike- Oct 30.
100+ PORTS. WORLDWIDE. NO MORE WEAPONS.
On October 30th, dockworkers, seafarers, students and communities in more than 100 ports around the world are standing together to say one thing: NO MORE WEAPONS.
War doesnβt run itself. It runs on our hands loading the cargo, and on our silence when blockades are enforced. Governments and corporations that profit from it have counted on both for too long. From now on, they get neither.
NO TO THE WAR MACHINERY.
We take the ports. We take the streets. We shut it down. Oct 30th

Please retweet, THUNDER IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME π πΎ
π West #Yorkshire #UK
π 6 years old β D.O.B: 28.09.2020
Everybody meet the very handsome Thunder! πΊβ€οΈ
Thunder has recently arrived into our care after, sadly, his owners were no longer able to care for him. Now this gorgeous boy is looking for a new family and a fresh start.
Thunder is a lovely, friendly boy who enjoys being around people and is always happy to make new friends. He already knows all of his basic commands and is very treat-driven β so if you happen to have snacks, youβre already off to a very promising start! ππ¦΄
πΆ Thunder would ideally like at least one other suitable dog in his new home. He would love the companionship and, hopefully, a four-legged friend to play with and share his adventures.
Thunder is a playful, enthusiastic boy who can be a little jumpy when he gets excited β apparently keeping all four paws on the floor is sometimes highly overrated! π€£ Because of this, we feel he would be best suited to older, dog-savvy children who are confident around larger, energetic dogs. He certainly wouldnβt intentionally hurt anyone, but his enthusiasm could easily send a smaller child flying! ππ
At six years old, Thunder has so much life, love and fun still ahead of him. β€οΈ
Heβs looking for a family who will give him the companionship, guidance and security he deserves and, most importantly, make him part of their family.
π‘ Could Thunder be the missing member of yours?
Please help us get this gorgeous boy seen by sharing his post far and wide. ππΎ

Delightful Dandelion update.
Dandelion has been with us exactly 14 weeks, when we rescued him from a veterinary surgery, the very people who had the resources to care for him, yet neglected him, and denied him care for over 2 weeks.
The quick thinking team at Northcote Veterinary Surgery arranged and emergency ( and unconventional) blood transfusion that literally saved his life.
Fast forward.. Dandelion is is doing amazing but is still requiring regular monitoring, Blood tests and daily medication.
Due to the nature of his medication Dandelion remains in isolation as he can't start his vaccinations and remains immunocompromised.
We are looking at alternative environments so that his care can continue in a less clinical environment.
Could you donate the cost of a Pumpkin Latte towards Dandelions ongoing care .
* The easiest way to donate is via PayPal using [email protected] as the recipient. please select the friends and family option so we are not charged a fee.
*you can donate by calling our vets at Northcote and making a card payment. Their telephone number is 01274 632222. Please quote BCWR.
