Hey aspiring pro creatives: I’ve been making games for 20+ years and still have crushing impostor syndrome. I assume my successes are pure luck and quietly agree with every critical jab calling me an overrated hack. You’re not alone. The fear never disappears. That’s okay

I created a monstrous Google Sheets spread sheet for 400 nouns and 400 verbs for a game I'm working on that you can import using datamerge into an indesign card template. PM me if you want me to share it with you! -AJ

Thanks! I've been bouncing around a bit so I missed it

@DecisionSpa Could you point me toward (or explain) your model for theme? In Ev Clim you mentioned environmental (minis art etc?), decision, and mechanical. What's the distinction between mechanical and decision? Great episode as always!

Brass Birmingham is a less obvious example, but everything you do benefits others. Is there not enough coal? Build a coal plant and everyone else can use it for free, but you get points if they do. No routes to the coal plant? Build them, same thing

Hanamikoji, Lanterns, gift of tulips, whirling witchcraft all do this. It's actually one of my favourite things in games personally.

@DecisionSpa After listening to the latest episode where you were excited to play a card battler I can't help but suggest Sakura Arms. It's got an incredibly deep decision space, and scratches both the deckbuilding and gameplay itches I have after quitting MTG.

After an unexpected hiatus, we're back! This episode we interview @AlexHorne on the design of taskmaster and how we can take those lessons and apply them to board game design. It was a ton of fun, and our first ever 3 person episode! jellybean.games/funproblems/
