The draft Conversion Practices bill is an appalling piece of legislation. If it is passed it will criminalise parents, threaten free speech, prevent ethical therapy and harm the LGB youth it claims to protect. It will be Labour’s Section 28 and the results of it will follow them around like a bad smell for years. Not sure if Mr Burnham would want that as a legacy, but who knows. #BinTheBill @BinTheBill_

What about them? I condemn any call for or recommendation of violence to solve any problem. I also condemn threats made by a person proposing to carry out the threat on identifiable people if they don't comply with the threat-makers instructions to stay away from "his" parkrun

Good example of the misogyny & ignorance at parkrun. Andrew: - calls @HallisseyC a “stupid bitch” - talks about males & females but his claims are baseless bc no sex data - calls for violence - “she deserves worse” - ‘if you don’t like sex discrimination, get lost’. 👎😡

Why is "I will not be answerable for my actions" not a threat of physical violence? He could have said, "I won't be answerable for my words". Even if he had threatened to verbally insult female wearers of club running shirts, that's still an unnecessary and unpleasant threat

I feel quite confident thatStratford-upon-Avon will take the top spot in this week’s #RealityRulessRunnersUK report in terms of attendance! Thanks for turning out to demand fair #Parkrun categories for females. #FairFemaleSports #SaveWomensSports #ParkrunUK

That doesn't make sense. What does make sense is that Dickpandering Handmaiden Cass believes that 'transition' is suitable for a small minority and that a KCL Pathways 'transition' trial (not a PB trial) be conducted to assess when puberty can be safely blocked till it is safe to administer opposite-sex hormones to facilitate "passing" as the opposite sex. In her gong-entitled wisdom she has not stated what sex/gender marker should be on Eve's (deadname Adam) ID documents such as passports, and whether it is ethical for the state to sanction such falsification when human sex is binary and immutable and, when Eve becomes eligible for a GRC at 18, it will not grant him access to women's spaces, sports and jobs. Nor has Cass answered why Adam has to wait till he is 12 to be put on PBs, as girls can be put on PBs at 11. After all Adam _IS_ a girl 🙄

Apologies. I always thought the W here meant woman. Would you mind letting me know what it actually means? 👍

Many males follow sex-based eligibility rules and participate in the men’s category in licensed races — yet self-ID into the female category at @parkrun. Why does @parkrun continue to prioritise gender identity over fair results for its female community?

In my last parkrun as a female, I ran in the women's 40-44 category. I lost out on 1st overall female to somebody who won a 3rd place trophy in the men's 30-34 category in last season's X-country. This is what parkrun's warm and fuzzy inclusiveness looks like. 🤷‍♀️🤯 @RRRunnersUK

Great. When that’s done, can Cass please call for an independent inquiry into how she recommended a Puberty Block Trial to conduct medical experiments on healthy children as young as 11?
🚨Hilary Cass has called for an independent inquiry into how Brighton GPs were allowed to prescribe cross-sex hormones to children as young as 12.“There urgently needs to be an investigation of why every system that should have protected children, young people, and indeed young adults has failed,” she told me. The employment tribunal between Dr Sarah Redvers and NHS Sussex has highlighted how regulators and the NHS collectively failed to stop prescribing of puberty blockers and hormones against national guidelines - for years - and how instead the person raising concerns was accused of transphobia and herself investigated. Dr Redvers sat down with me for her only newspaper interview about her treatment in a scandal which, Cass now says, “dwarfs” that of the Tavistock’s GIDS. Me for the Sunday Times… thetimes.com/article/cfde7b4…

Hilary Cass is clearly in thrall to reputations and citations that backed the abuses at the Tavistock. She thinks this ‘dwarfs’ what went on at the Tavistock, but it is essentially the same with a more authoritative disguise. Brighton was just raw and exposed, not different.

If Cass is really so concerned about protecting children she needs to urgently reflect on her support for inflicting harm on more children with the puberty blockers trial.

I say hi Neil. Two and counting. Have you got anything more recent? Equivalent to "If I see [anyone wearing a RRR T-shirt at my parkrun] I will not be responsible for my actions" Why do you imagine Mara condones these posts, or has even seen them?

If the draft Conversion Practices Bill passes, this GP, parents and whistle blowers could be guilty of Conversion Practice for raising concerns and face 5 years in jail?? @andyburnham @UKLabour is this the legacy you want?

📣🚨 FSU MEMBER TESTIMONIAL “The Free Speech Union has just helped me secure a public apology from disability charity Scope after my choir was dropped from this year’s London Marathon because of my gender-critical views.” Janet Murray is a journalist and founder of the Singing Striders, a choir that performs at running events and helps runners raise money for good causes. For the past two years, the choir had been part of Scope’s “cheer squad” without incident. But a few days before this year’s marathon, Scope dropped the choir after receiving two anonymous complaints about Janet’s public expression of her gender-critical views. Gender-critical beliefs are protected under the Equality Act 2010. They are lawful and were reaffirmed by last year’s landmark Supreme Court ruling, which confirmed that “sex” refers to biological sex. Janet is clear that these are her personal views; she does not know what the other choir members thought. Janet tried to resolve the matter privately with Scope before informing her fellow choir members. After the Free Speech Union intervened, Scope reinstated the choir — but only the night before the marathon. Janet put together a small group at short notice, which performed elsewhere along the route, separately from Scope. Scope has now apologised and publicly acknowledged that its decision was wrong. But the ordeal caused considerable upset to Janet and the choir, who did not deserve to be treated this way. Women should be able to speak freely about their sex-based rights without being punished for doing so. Janet said that when she first joined the Free Speech Union, she never thought she would need us. She’s grateful she did. We’re delighted we could help @jan_murray. My choir was - quite literally - silenced. Because I publicly stated that it's not possible to change sex. And that men who 'identify' as women should not have access to women's rights, single sex spaces and sports. I was the only choir member who had publicly stated these lawful, reasonable and widely held views. But all choir members were 'punished' - on my account. We were dropped from performing at this year's London Marathon by the disability charity Scope. Because I said sex was real. This week Scope have published an apology to myself and my choir - thanks to the support of the @SpeechUnion. I really couldn't have done it without them. Here's my story ...

Something you might think about here is nuance. It's possible to agree with someone about some things and not others. Eg I'm not a Tory, but I agree with the @CforWomenUK account about sex and gender. This is how grownups get things done. It's also how democracy works.

dailymail.com/news/article-1… Dr Upton’s sex falsification has upset a female patient and her husband at his new A&E job at a New South Wales hospital. Realising immediately that he was male but pretending to be female, the patient’s husband stayed by her bedside to ensure that her wish for same sex care would be honoured. I wonder if Dr Upton is taking notes on them, as he did about Sandy Peggie? Her refusal to undress with him brought him to sobbing, lies and a huge court case. I suspect he won’t be taking this couple to court - patient consent is really quite important to a doctor’s reputation … There will be trouble ahead … dailymail.com/news/article-1…

Everything in this comment is wrong. It's not a number on a spreadsheet, it's in results tables on a website/app, and in a results email. I'm not worried about trans people getting a number, I'm worried about women not getting the number they deserve. Because fairness matters.
Replying to @HallisseyC
Don’t you have anything else to be worrying about on a Saturday afternoon than trans people getting a number in a column on a spreadsheet?
