🚨Antisemitism by a pupil should not warrant a referral to the Prevent programme, according to government guidance for teachers
Fiona Sharpe, a spokesman for Labour Against Antisemitism, said: “It is unconscionable that the Government should issue guidance which appears to deter people from making Prevent referrals based on anti-Semitic views.
“We have seen around the world how anti-Jewish racism drives terrorism. This is not theoretical. Anti-Semitic beliefs led to the terror attack on Bondi Beach that left 15 innocent people dead. Extremist anti-Jewish views drove the attack on a Manchester synagogue in which two men lost their lives.
“This is discriminatory guidance that puts the Jewish community at further risk at a time of unprecedented anti-Semitism. It is hard to understand why the Government would choose to show such prejudice against a minority community that is, statistically, at least nine times more likely to be the victim of hate crime.”

Rubbish is piling up in the streets of Birmingham, the council had to be bailed out by UK taxpayers, and the city's youth unemployment is the highest in Britain.
But instead of looking after the needs of local residents, the City Council's coalition of clowns spent last night passing a motion on Israel.

In May 2021, Rebecca Morrish, pictured below, then a human rights master's student at the London School of Economics, signed a letter demanding an academic and cultural boycott of Israel and urging LSE to drop the IHRA definition of antisemitism.
She has now been appointed a political adviser to Labour Party Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, whose brief includes arts, media and sport.
Campaign Against @antisemitism in London and @LabourAgainstAS want her removed, raising concerns about the treatment of Israeli and Jewish artists.
