#ProduceAbshir #FreeWakiliAbshir @edwinsifuna @HonKangata @ckanjama @bonifacemwangi @Honeyfarsafi We are calling on you to amplify this. Advocates are the last line of defense. Call a court boycott @ckanjama @twavinya It cannot be business as usual.
Replying to @quincygitahi
@quincygitahi @abdulnassir21 @haron_makhanu @joshuamalidzo @Bulumacleo @attalo_alvin @Benign_Overlord it's over one week since our colleague's abduction. Let's not tire but continue demanding for his release to his family.

Yes. @lsk_nbi @lawsocietykenya We need to boycott courts. Down our tools. @Benign_Overlord @taliisraeltali @joshuamalidzo The idea is spreading. @ckanjama and @twavinya we need to down our tools. It cannot be business as usual
Advocates must immediately down tools until our colleague is found. Business as usual is over. If he committed any crime, he should have been arrested and charged not abducted and made to disappear.

How do we, as a nation, in theory governed under the Rule of Law and the 2010 Constitution with Human Rights, especially the Right to Life and the requirement to produce in Court an arrested person within 24 hours, normalise these continuing abductions and extrajudicial executions? Release this young Lawyer Abshir A.Abdi immediately or charge him in Court. Abductions are by State Agencies, as we all know...

That Wakili Abshir is barely a year into practice should heighten LSK’s concern. Young advocates already face formidable barriers. Safety in line of duty must never become another. LSK must ensure fear has no place in the Bar. A fearful Bar is the breeding ground of tyranny.
The annexures to the Habeas Corpus Application for Wakili Abshir paints a gruesome picture. They intimidated him for his work by detaining him. Then they resorted to abducting him. Access the Application here: drive.google.com/file/d/1q4k… #FreeWakiliAbshir

What is the better boycott and protest time than this time when one of us in danger of his life being deprived? Or are we waiting to put on purple ribbons when things have become worse and our colleague is lifeless? @ckanjama we need an extraordinary action. This is the life of a colleague

Ordinarily we should have all downed our tools until the safe return of our colleague. This includes all Advocates, Judicial Officers and Judges, who are Advocates first. Our colleague's life may be on the line and we are behaving as if all is normal?

The police should produce Advocate Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi without any further delay. We are not interested in explanations because they either have him or ought to know where he is.

Advocate, Abshir was abducted on the morning of 1st November at 4.40 AM. He has been held incommunicado for 73 hours as at 6.00AM today. That is 50 hours past the constitutional limit of 24 hours! An advocate of the High Court. How much lower can a state sink? If you see this just amplify and DEMAND for the unconditional release of wakili Abshir Abdi!

It cannot be business as usual when any Kenyan is abducted, leave alone an advocate of the High Court. Advocate, Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi was abducted on 1/11/26 along Muchai Drive. His motor vehicle was recovered on the same road. The incident was at Kilimani Police Station - 55/1/11/2026 . Reports from people who witnessed the incident, indicate he was pursued by 2 motor vehicles, a Prado TX and a double cab. The occupants of those vehicles had guns and 2 were in what seemed like police uniform and bullet proof vests. The abduction is linked to a case he’s involved in against some senior police officers & he’s been subjected to various intimidation tactics prior to this incident. All KENYANS must now stand in solidarity with lawyers at this time. We have stood with Kenyans, selflessly, free of charge. It is time for Kenyans to pay back in Kind. We should all peacefully hold a procession to Vigilance House demanding the release of the Abducted Advocate forthwith!

Today it is Wakili Abshir. Tomorrow it is any of us who stands in court against powerful people. To every advocate: this is not someone else's fight. Stand with Advocate Abshir. Stand with his family. #FreeAbshir #WhereIsAbshir

The circumstances surrounding Lawyer Abshir Ahmedsadak Abdi’s abduction bear disturbing similarities to the methods associated with state security operations. These allegations must be urgently and independently investigated.

An attack against an Advocate is an attack on the administration of justice and due process of law. The involvement of police in extra judicial abductions continue to prevail despite repeated assurances that they will end. The police cannot behave as if the life of a Kenyan doesn’t matter. They are not above the law. @IG_NPS @kipmurkomen @ray_omollo intervene and urgently release our colleague from your agents.

I am actually sick and tired of non-Kenyans on this platform asking why Kenyans “complain” about that man. Either you don’t do your research (derogatory), or you’re just plain dull. People ACTUALLY DIED. Mind your country’s business. WANTAM 🤷🏾‍♀️

At the moment, we don't want to be promised roads, schools and other goodies without telling us where the money is going to come from. This is a country which needs resetting. Tell us who is going to service the debts we never incurred. Tell us who is going to take responsibility of stolen public funds. Tell us how we are going to manage our minerals for the benefit of Kenyans. Tell us how you are going to recover stolen parcels of land. Telling us about roads without telling us where the money is going to come from can only mean two things; 1. You are planning to overtax us even more. 2. You are lying about the development projects. Kenyans are tired of promises. Kenyans want tough decisions to be made.

Human rights activists and citizens in Kenya have launched a campaign, urging FC Bayern and Ajax to boycott the scheduled friendly between the two teams in Nairobi on January 5th. Critics argue that public funds and millions are being misallocated toward an expensive international exhibition match amid domestic economic pressures, the rising cost of living, healthcare challenges and human rights issues. They also claim that this match serves as a political leverage and campaign tool ahead of upcoming elections amid ongoing public discontent over governance, taxation, and human rights in the country 🇰🇪
