Buy or Bye? π€ $MRK
Merck ran up 77% from its 52 week low of $82.01 and now sits 7% under its all time high of $156.92. Too late or still a buy? Read to the end for my verdict π’π΄
π° Why it's worth a look
β’ Free cash flow $16.06B over the last 12 months, about 4.5% of the market cap
β’ Dividend yield about 2.3%
β’ Q2 free cash flow $4.48B, up 77%
β’ Market cap about $358B
π What's working
β’ Q2 sales $16.61B, up 5%. Keytruda $8.4B, up 5%
β’ Merck and Moderna cancer vaccine plus Keytruda cut melanoma recurrence or death risk by 42% in Phase 3 (Oct 22)
β’ Europe approved Keytruda plus Padcev for bladder cancer (Oct 21)
β’ 21 of 31 analysts rate it Buy
β’ Analyst average target $158.84
π¬ What the market fears
β’ Net loss in Q1 and Q2 2026 from one time deal charges (Cidara $9.0B, Terns $5.7B), so trailing P/E is about 116x
β’ EV/EBITDA about 21x, not cheap
β’ Total debt $53.9B, up 52% in a year
β’ Keytruda, its biggest drug, loses US patent protection in 2028
β’ A Dutch court blocked the new Keytruda shot in 8 European countries on Oct 7 in a patent fight with Halozyme
β’ Q3 results due Oct 29
π The investment plan
Don't chase it at $145. 2 buys with limit orders, the bigger one lower:
1οΈβ£ $138 to $141
2οΈβ£ $124 to $128
Average entry about $131.45.
βοΈ Exit on a weekly close under $119.
π― Scenarios from my average entry
Bear $119 break: down 9%
Base $156.92 (all time high): up 19%
Bull $179.66: up 37%
β
My verdict: BUY on the dip π’
Not financial advice

In 2013, $TSLA was weeks from running out of cash.
Elon called Larry Page and offered to sell Tesla to $GOOGL for about $6 billion. Page reportedly shook on it π€
Then Tesla employees started calling every customer to deliver cars. Sales came back. The deal died.
Tesla today: about $1.47 trillion. Roughly 245x that price.
If you were Elon, would you have taken the $6B?

In March 2000, $CSCO was the most valuable company on earth π§
It closed at $80.06 on Mar 27, 2000.
2 years later it was down 89%.
It didn't close above $80.06 again until Dec 10, 2025.
25 years and 8 months to get back to even.
And sales more than tripled in that time.
Today $NVDA is the biggest company in the world at $5.36T.
Is $NVDA the next $CSCO, or is this time different?

Gold has beaten the S&P 500 since 2000. Even with dividends πͺ
$10,000 invested in Aug 2000:
Gold: $151,515 (up 1,415%)
S&P 500 with dividends reinvested ($SPY): $81,865 (up 719%)
26 years of "stocks always win," and gold made almost double the gain.
Team gold or team stocks?

$NVDA is now worth more than 2x the 9 biggest oil producers in the US and Europe combined π€―
$XOM, $CVX, $SHEL, $TTE, $COP, $BP, $EQNR, $E and $EOG together: $2.26T
$NVDA alone: $5.36T
π€ It also made more profit in the last year than all 9 of them put together.
The world still runs on oil. Is the market right, or is this a bubble?

Boring stocks are crushing $NVDA this year ποΈ
2026 so far:

$MRK (medicine): up 42.4%
$DE (tractors): up 36.7%
$FAST (screws and bolts): up 30.8%
$CAT (bulldozers): up 29.2%
$JNJ (medicine): up 24.6%
$NVDA (AI chips): up 19.0%
Everyone chased AI. Steel won.
Will boring keep winning, or will $NVDA take over from here?

Forgent Power Solutions is a pure-play on the electrical infrastructure powering the AI revolution.
Transformers, switchgear, power distribution units, modular power skids, and integrated powertrain solutions.
Data centers are a major growth engine, and this is one of the biggest bottlenecks in the entire AI infrastructure buildout. You can build the data center, but you still need the power equipment to turn it on.
FY2026 revenue hit $1.42B, up 89% YoY, while Q4 revenue reached $462M, up 94%. Management guided FY2027 revenue to $2.4β2.6B, representing roughly 76% growth at the midpoint.
Powertrain Solutions grew 259% for the full year as demand for integrated, modular power systems accelerated. This is scalability meeting a market desperate for more capacity.
Now look at the numbers that matter most. $3B in year-end backlog, up 256% YoY.
Q4 bookings reached $1.503B, up 375% YoY, with a 3.3x book-to-bill ratio. FPS booked more than three dollars of orders for every dollar of revenue shipped.
More than 90% of FY2027 revenue guidance was already covered by backlog, providing substantial visibility as new manufacturing capacity comes online.
PROFITABILITY IS RAMPING WITH IT.
FY2026 GAAP net income reached $106M, up 508%, while adjusted net income hit $207.6M, up 136%.
Adjusted EBITDA reached $323M, up 91%, with Q4 margins expanding to 24.4%.
Management expects FY2027 adjusted EBITDA of $575β625M and adjusted EPS of $1.26β$1.40.
The company also generated $109M in operating cash flow, although $116M in capital expenditures shows why improving cash conversion remains important.
The stock previously traded near $66 before correcting into the high-$20s to low-$30s area. The $28β30 region is a potential support zone to watch, with RSI previously in the mid-30s.
At around $30β31, the forward valuation looks considerably more attractive relative to the projected growth. Iβm watching for a potential bounce, but support must hold and buyers still need to confirm the reversal.
Iβm watching $FPS closely. Record orders, explosive revenue growth, expanding margins, and massive AI power demand make this one worth keeping on your radar during the pullback.
DONβT BLINK. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

$TDC β’ triangle breakout, first close over the top π
π Hybrid cloud and on-prem data analytics platform. Q2 total ARR $1.509B, up 1%. Public cloud ARR $686M, up 8%. Recurring revenue $363M, up 3%. Non-GAAP operating margin 21.5%, up 510 basis points. FY26 non-GAAP EPS guide raised to $2.65 to $2.73. $450M term loan paid off.
Real risk here: Q3 revenue is guided down 4% to 6%, cloud ARR growth slowed to 8%, and the stock dropped about 17% right after the last print.
