I can't truly thank everyone in this picture enough for the memories made this past weekend. I'm sad to see BronyCon close its doors, but I'm glad to have spent time with people that mean so much to me. I love you all. #FriendshipIsMagic

My perhaps most controversial opinion is adding Jeff Gordon as the 13th chase driver was the correct decision. He was going to make it on points before Bowyer’s elbow started to itch.

Oh my god dude, he won Talladega, pack it up already. Just nonstop bitching. Get the fuck over it you absolute loser. It’s nonstop with the cope.
All that just for the rest of the Chase drivers to be cucks for Larson the following week. What a joke of this β€œpostseason”

The Latford system was never the greatest way to score points and could be confusing to a lot of people. I like the 1-point per position we have now with the bonus for winning being what it is. Would also like to give a point for leading and 5 for leading the most.
Out of curiosity, what is your preferred full season points system?

I feel like the entire drama around Larson clinching early being a problem is manufactured most people are fine with drivers clinching early the issue we have isn’t that he’s clinching early it’s about the format, we might as well switch to full season if he’s gonna clinch early

We've been brainwashed to need those moments & now it feels weird to not have them. And for newer fans the Playoffs are all they know. It'll take some time, but at least the championship means more.
I feel like it will take a few years of the Chase to reverse the damage of NASCAR’s playoff format. I promise it would be OK if there are no championship implications at Homestead. NASCAR doesn’t need a β€œGame 7,” just like the Brewers in the World Series.

Our Championships at JRM (2014) & Owners Championship at Team Penske(2015) were clinched 1 week prior(PHX) & 2 weeks(TX) prior to the season finale at Homestead. It may not be the best for the fans/show…but as a competitor in the sport, it’s one of the best feelings knowing you beat your peers in the garage to the trophy case by a few weeks! πŸπŸ†

If Larson wins the title Sunday, he should get to celebrate the title Sunday. While this is far from a guarantee, and although it has been 23 years since another driver did the same, NASCAR is dropping the ball by not accounting for this outcome. Disappointing.
Notes: -Homestead qualifying order (metric, Chase drivers last) and pit selection (OReilly/truck-this week's qualifying results) same as rest of Chase. Contenders don't go last order/pit selection (like Champ 4 did) -No trophy ceremony if driver clinches title at Martinsville

This is exactly what I mean when I say the NASCAR media landscape needs an overhaul. Just full of a bunch of self-fellating out of touch industry plants who have absolutely no pulse on the sport or what the fans actually want and also don’t even seem to LIKE the sport they cover.
What is it with the people in the media being unable to actually see the nuance in these things and just take everything completely a face value?

I’m going to guess he will say all sports are down and nothing is the same now as was then but he still thinks it’s great and you’re a, pick you derogatory name, if you don’t. 🀣🀣🀣

The title could be wrapped up with 5 races left….idc. If a driver earns it good for them. Exceptionalism should be celebrated.
People complaining Larson can clinch early and saying they want a full season deal makes 0 sense because the 11 would be doing just that this week. So would we all be boycotting homestead under that format too?

I want the 2027 Daytona 500 to look like this. This needs to be the goal if I was NASCAR. Forget waiting for the track to become real bumpy how about experimenting with the tires during pre season testing to create a decent amount of falloff. The track surface is over 15 years old
Take the 2008 Daytona 500 for example. I've heard people say majority of the race was boring til the end.....no it wasn't! Look at all the battles going on in these clips. Mixing it up. Separation doesn't mean boring racing. This is good stuff!

Not me, I wanted legitimacy in the championship & not a bunch of WWE-Manufactured Drama to decide it. However, I always feel the best way to decide a championship in Motorsports should be Season long pts (the largest sample size there is). Just say you hate real racing

Listening to @SiriusXMNASCAR & Danny Lawrence, it sounds like they’ve been told the @NASCAROReillyAP car will be used through at least 2030. Good news, we have the greatest car & Series running the same car for at least 3 more years…bad news, we only have it for 3 more years.

This format isn't what "everyone wanted." You're not being genuine by saying that. It was a compromise between those who wanted the Playoffs and those who wanted full-season points. Most of the people complaining are those who wanted Playoffs. Let's be real, here.
